The Waratahs have won four of their five matches to begin the season.
The last time they won four from five to start a year was 2009. They got the job done in their first four matches of the 2009 season, beating the Hurricanes, Chiefs, Highlanders and Reds before a slip-up against the Brumbies.
If the Waratahs beat the Hurricanes today they’ll have five from six in the bag. Last time they did that? You have to go back to the season of 2006.
Here are a few surnames from that squad to take you back down memory lane: Freier, Baxter, Robinson, Sheehan, Whitaker, Halangahu, Vickerman, Lyons, Tuqiri, Dunning, Rogers, Turinui, Waugh, Elsom, Hoiles, Polota-Nau, Sailor and Palu. Great team.
