Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White gives perfect response to sick taunts about his influencer girlfriend in 3-0 win over former club Wolves
Morgan Gibbs-White wasted little time in responding to sick taunts from Wolves fans about his influencer girlfriend on Monday night.
The attacking midfielder, 24, returned to Molineux with high-flying Nottingham Forest after moving to the City Ground for £42.5m in August 2022.
Wolves supporters were not happy with the way Gibbs-White left the club and have routinely booed him every time he returns to his old stomping ground.
But things turned nasty this time around as sections of the home crowd could be heard chanting ‘your girlfriend’s a s**g’ whenever Gibbs-White touched the ball in the early stages of the game.
However, Gibbs-White had the last laugh as just moments after the taunts started, he put Forest ahead in the seventh minute following a swift counter-attack.
He then ran towards the corner flag and celebrated by sticking both fingers in his ears to signal that he was blocking out the noise from the Wolves fans.

Gibbs-White is currently dating influencer Britney De Villiers, and the couple enjoyed a New Year’s getaway with Anthony Elanga and his partner China Navana as they all went skiing together.
De Villiers posted about the romantic trip away on her Instagram, where she has 274,00 followers.
Gibbs-White and De Villiers have a son, Graysen, who was born in November 2023.
After further goals from Chris Wood and Taiwo Awoniyi wrapped up a 3-0 win to move Forest level on points with second-placed Arsenal, Gibbs-White was asked whether the taunts from Wolves fans had spurred him on any more than usual.
‘I think it always has the same meaning,’ Gibbs White told Optus Sport as he explained his celebration. ‘Just block out whatever they say.
‘But I don’t mind it. It sort of gives me that edge and more motivation to do better and succeed. But I love it. I think this is what is part of football. The fans really enjoying it, giving stick, and then us performing on the pitch. I’m just more than happy that the boys got the three points tonight.’
Gibbs-White was awarded player of the match for his performance at Molineux, and his team-mate Ola Aina posted a short video on social media of the attacker revelling in piling on the misery for Wolves.
Aina shouted into the camera in the dressing room ‘Hey, you lot! The happiest guy in Wolverhampton, Morgan Gibbs-White!’
Forest picked up another impressive win on Monday and are now level on points with Arsenal
Gibbs-White responded by showing off his award and smiling.
The England international now has four goals and three assists in the Premier League this term.
Forest return to action on Saturday when they host Luton Town in the third round of the FA Cup.
Just three days later they will play league leaders Liverpool at the City Ground as Nuno Espirito Santo’s men aim to prove they are genuine title contenders following their stunning first half of the season.
