North Korean soldiers treated for COVID-19 in isolation in barracks due to drug shortage

Due to the shortage of medicines in North Korea and the priority of supplying Pyongyang with medicines, North Korean army soldiers infected with COVID-19 are not receiving treatment.

According to the South Korean version of Daily NK, citing its own sources in the DPRK’s army, patients will be isolated in the barracks, while the rest of the military in the unit are prohibited from leaving it and contacting the civilian population.

At the same time, the Ministry of Defense of the DPRK is engaged in the supply of medicines to the capital of the republic.
