NFL announces that Miami Dolphins will play in historic first game in Spain at the home of Real Madrid

The Miami Dolphins will be the ‘home’ team when the NFL plays its first ever game in Spain next season.

The historic Madrid game will take place at the Santiago Bernabeu, home of soccer giants Real Madrid.

The Dolphins’ opponents have yet to be confirmed but it marks the latest step in the NFL’s global expansion.

From the 2025 season, up to eight regular season games can be held outside the United States.

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London will host two, with the New York Jets and the Cleveland Browns confirmed as the ‘home’ teams.

The NFL will also head to the Olympic stadium in Berlin for a Germany game featuring the Indianapolis Colts.
