NBA star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander makes shock career move after playing in controversial All-Star Game

Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has made a surprising career move, according to a new report.

The MVP candidate has dropped his representation and will serve as his own agent moving forward, according to Chris Haynes.

Gilgeous-Alexander had been represented by Joe Smith of Wasserman before.

Haynes added that Gilgeous-Alexander will continue to employ a manager for marketing opportunities and off-court opportunities.

The Oklahoma City guard is averaging a league-high 32.5 points and has led the Thunder to a 44-10 record through the All-Star break.

Gilgeous-Alexander’s big decision comes after he participated in an All-Star Game on Sunday that was panned by fans.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is seen suiting up in the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday night

Instead of the usual one game, there were three shorter games to the score of 40, while a team of Rising Stars (not All-Stars) was also invited to suit up.

Furthermore, there were long breaks between the three games, as MrBeast hosted a three-point shooting competition and Kevin Hart had loads of screen time.

Additionally, Luka Doncic, Anthony Edwards and Anthony Davis and LeBron James, didn’t suit up – with the Lakers star not revealing he was unavailable to play until roughly an hour before tipoff.

Gilgeous-Alexander, meanwhile, suited up for the All-Star squad drafted by Charles Barkley.

He played just six minutes and scored four points as his team lost 41-25.
