NBA star Jaylen Wells’ devastating injuries are revealed after he was hospitalized during Grizzlies game

The extent of Memphis Grizzlies rookie Jaylen Wells’ injuries has been revealed after the NBA player suffered a terrifying fall during a game earlier this week.
On Tuesday, Wells was dunking the ball during a fast-break when Charlotte Hornets guard KJ Simpson cut his legs out from under him and sent him flying to the ground on his back.
Wells’ head slammed on the court and he lied there motionless before being stretchered out of the arena and transported to a local hospital.
It has now been reported that he is expected to be ruled out of the remainder of the NBA season.
Wells suffered a broken right wrist, concussion and facial laceration during the incident, according to Shams Charania.
Simpson did immediately check on Wells after the fall, before being pushed away by Wells’ teammate Ja Morant.

Simpson was later assessed a flagrant two foul, ejecting him from the game, and expressed his remorse to Wells afterwards.
‘I know we already spoke and are good friends bro but again I just wanted to express not only to J but to his family as well how deeply sorry I am,’ Simpson wrote on X.’ I would never purposely do that to anyone. I’m just extremely sorry.’
‘Much love brother,’ Wells replied. ‘Thank you.’
Grizzlies players were seen praying and kneeling after Wells was stretchered off the court, while the franchise’s broadcasters were speechless on the air – such was the concern for the player’s health at the time.
After the game, Wells shared a picture from his hospital bed, still in his No. 0 Grizzlies jersey with a massive cut on the left side of his face.
He also had his left wrist in a cast.
Wells’ rookie season is now officially over after a successful debut for the second-round pick as he averaged 10.4 points and 3.4 rebounds for the playoff-bound Grizzlies.
