The National Council for Women participates with a special pavilion in the “Our Heritage” exhibition. The event is currently being held under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and is organized by the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency for the fifth year in a row at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in the New Cairo area.
The Director General of Skills Development at the Council explained Mai Mahmoud – in her statement today, Friday – that the Council is participating in the exhibition in Pavilion No. 8B to display various products for women from different governorates, including a group of leather products and accessories, in addition to textiles. And cotton bedspreads, and bags with innovative designs, in addition to carrying out a live demonstration on the craft of making decorative dishes using decoupage and the craft of painting and accessories during the duration of the exhibition.
She confirmed that all products These are the outcomes of the training workshops organized by the Council within the framework of the National Project for the Development of the Egyptian Family.
She indicated that the Council’s pavilion also includes a group It is one of the products of women entrepreneurs, in addition to women’s products in the governorates of Beheira, Gharbia, Minya, and Luxor, and it is the result of training workshops within the framework of the project “Addressing the Economic Drivers of Illegal Migration.” Which is implemented by the Council in partnership with the European Union, and includes copper crafts, macrame products, in addition to clothing and ornaments that complement fashion and home decor, patchwork and fabric recycling products, as well as products from the project to enhance women’s opportunities in the field of agricultural manufacturing, such as honey, vegetables, and dried fruit products.< /p>
She noted that participation in the exhibition comes from the Council’s keenness to economically empower women and girls who own crafts and support them to market and develop their products and participate. At various exhibitions in order to open marketing channels for them, hoping that the women’s products will be well received by visitors to the exhibition.
