"National for Women" In Sohag, it targets 7,500 homes during a campaign "You have the right to live safely"
The branch of the National Council for Women in Sohag continued its door-knocking campaigns entitled “Your Right to Live in Safety,” which the Council is implementing in partnership with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the CARE Egypt Foundation, within the “Ending Violence against Women and Girls” program.
This was stated by Dr. Sahar Wehbe, rapporteur of the National Council for Women’s branch in Sohag, and she added that female members and members of the council’s branch in the governorate, pioneers of the council, and young women volunteers, in addition to religious leaders including imams, priests, preachers, and nuns, participated in the campaign to convey the initiative’s messages, the most important of which is combating all forms of violence against women. Women, such as female genital mutilation, seasonal marriage, and domestic violence.
The rapporteur of the National Council for Women’s branch in Sohag indicated that 50 pioneers of the National Council for Women were trained on the methodology of knocking on doors, for a total target of 7,500 homes, during the period from 24 to 28 November, within the framework of the 16-day campaign of activities to eliminate violence against… woman.
