Within the framework of the National Council for Human Rights’ plan to spread and promote a culture of human rights among student groups, the Council’s Cultural Rights Committee organized a series of dialogue sessions and interactive workshops under the title “Human Rights Awareness in Schools.” In Beni Suef Governorate.
The activities came under the guidance of Samira Louka, Chairman of the Cultural Rights Committee, and in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education (the General Union of Republic School Students), and with the support of European Union. 25 teachers and social workers benefited from the sessions, as they included an introduction to the National Council for Human Rights and its objectives, and an introduction to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Convention on the Rights of the Child. The sessions dealt with the concept of positive education and how to integrate human rights into educational activities, and the participants showed positive interaction by preparing a short film expressing the knowledge they had acquired, using animation.
And on Over the course of three days, teachers and social workers supervised the implementation of interactive workshops with 154 male and female students from the primary stage, with the aim of introducing them to their rights and duties, promoting the values of cooperation, rejecting bullying, respecting diversity, and supporting people with disabilities.

It is noteworthy that this event is the fourth within the program of the National Council for Human Rights to spread awareness among school students, which was previously implemented in the governorates of Alexandria, Minya, and Ismailia.
