The Ahl al-Suffa Academy for Sufi Studies and Heritage Sciences will celebrate tomorrow, Saturday, after the afternoon prayer, the graduation of its first batch of students, In the presence of an elite group of Al-Azhar scholars who They contributed to the success of this educational process over five consecutive years, led by His Eminence Prof. Dr. Shawqi Allam, the former Grand Mufti of Egypt, His Eminence Prof. Dr. Abdel Aziz Al-Shahawi, Sheikh of the Shafi’i school of thought in Egypt, His Eminence Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hodhud, former President of Al-Azhar University, His Eminence Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Othman, former Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law in Tanta and member of the Islamic Research Academy, and His Excellency Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abdel Samad Muhanna, professor of international law at the Faculty of Sharia and Law and founder of the academy, and an elite group of professors and scholars from Al-Azhar Al-Sharif.
A statement by the Muhammadi House of Sufism stated that the idea of the Ahl al-Suffa Academy for Sufism Studies and Heritage Sciences is the dream that Sheikh Al-Raed had. Muhammad Zaki al-Din Ibrahim, the pioneer of the Muhammadiyah clan, may God have mercy on him and be pleased with him. He wished to achieve it, but his death was urgent, so his students and disciples adopted it, and God achieved it at the hands of Dr. Muhammad Muhanna, and a number of Al-Azhar scholars, where he excelled The Academy with its message stresses the importance of reviving the cognitive heritage of the Islamic nation and advancing the Sufi spiritual call as a basis for reforming the individual, society and the nation.
The statement added that The graduation of the first class is a landmark step in the academy’s journey and reflects an important achievement as the first educational institution specialized in the sciences of Sufism. The academy’s graduate is distinguished by combining an understanding of the forensic sciences with the Sufi dimension of the apparent sciences. In its academic system, the academy follows the latest systems followed in major educational institutions in accordance with quality standards. Which provides an addition that differs from the accepted academic systems in institutes for the study of Sharia sciences, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Attia Al-Sayed, Professor of Curriculum and Advisor to the President of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation for Training and Continuing Education, and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Tantawi, Professor of Curriculum and Teaching Methods at the Faculty of Education at Al-Azhar University.

Azza Zaki adds She holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce: She We studied for five years In the Ahl al-Suffah Academy, we learned that Sufism is the jurisprudence of knowledge of God – Glory be to Him – and that it is a personal experience for every human being in which no one else can do without you, and you must go by your own choice in this experience. We learned that there are dimensions to everything. We studied in the academy, for example: jurisprudence. rulings; Is ablution just washing yourself with water? Does purity mean being clean in your body, but Steal or lie? no; Purity is apparent purity and inner purity, and also in the academy, one of the most important features was that the professors were, according to We have a role model So they were all as God willing. For the love of God and the love of Sufism, they came with sincerity and high determination. They came as a role model for us and we learned from them Dreaming, patience, character, and high literature, and we saw how sciences are taught. They are not sciences that we store, but rather methods of thinking and the principles of science. For example, when we studied Sufism, we studied the rules of Sufism, and this scientific method is what forms human thought. It is not stored information, as all information is stored on phones in the world. All people can achieve it, but the method of sound thinking, the disciplined scientific method, we have known that the world does not deserve all these disputes and that the differences of all these intellectual currents are only differences in branches and there is no need for disagreement. Rather, we need to unite the nation, we need to We improve ourselves {Indeed, God does not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves}, it is a call for reform, a call for thought, and the school days were very beautiful days, the colleagues and the spirit among them were very beautiful, in which we learned brotherhood and how to deal with each other, tolerate each other, and help each other. For some, the subject was not just a study, but rather an experience. We were going through an experience in which we learned how to be with sound hearts, and our Lord accepts us by coming to Him with sound hearts.
For his part, Dr. Muhammad Muhanna, professor of international law and servant of the Muhammadi House, said that our celebration of this graduation requires us to thank God for guiding us to this Sufi path. Because the truth of the matter is that this is not the first batch or academy for Ahl al-Suffa, but rather it is an extension of the first Sufi institute whose foundation stone was laid by our master Muhammad May God’s prayers and peace be upon him, in his large mosque in Medina, in a place called Al-Saffah, and the first group there were a group of poor Companions, may God be pleased with them, who migrated without money or children, seeking God’s pleasure and jihad with the Messenger of God, may God’s pleasure be upon them, so they left off to learn from him, may God’s prayers and peace be upon them, and to learn from him. They were named after the people of Suffah, led by Abu Hurairah, Al-Irbad bin Sariyah, Wathilah bin Al-Asqa’, Qais Al-Ghafari and many others, and they are the ones about whom the words of God Almighty were revealed in the decisive revelation: “And be patient with those who call upon their Lord in the morning and the evening, seeking His face.”.. the verses, then The caravan went on throughout history, and Sufism befell what befell Islam, and the banners of renewal also continued to rise and fall   Under the name of the Imam Al-Raed Academy, then it was not until the Almighty Al-Hakim decided that the institute should return to its first cradle under the name of the Ahl al-Suffah Academy to continue its path in graduating this batch, which was distinguished by being the first to bear the first name with which it is called in the plural From The Companions of the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him (the People of Suffah).
