Arab Defense Website, November 15, 2024: Abdellatif Loudi, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of National Defense, revealed that Morocco has allocated 5.8 billion dirhams in its budget for the year 2025 to finance the purchase of equipment, weapons and ammunition for the Royal Armed Forces, as well as strengthening the infrastructure to secure the eastern and southern borders.
In his presentation of the national defense budget before the Committee for Foreign Affairs, National Defense, Islamic Affairs, and Moroccans Residing Abroad, Loudier stated that “performance appropriations increased by about 464 million dirhams compared to last year, while commitment appropriations amounted to 8.7 billion dirhams.”
Within the framework of the 2025 budget proposal, Morocco plans to finance ongoing projects and contracts, cover military debts, and allocate funds to new projects aimed at “strengthening and supporting the Moroccan army’s proactive defense and security strategies.”
