Mohamed Salah reveals his ‘disappointment’ at not receiving any offers to stay at Liverpool and is ‘more OUT than in’ in major bombshell – with his deal set to run down at the end of the season

Mohamed Salah says he is disappointed in Liverpool’s powerbrokers as he reveals that he is yet to receive any offers to stay at the club and is ‘more out than in’.

The Egyptian’s contract is set to expire at the end of this season and Salah says ‘there is no club like’ Liverpool.

But speaking to a small selection of reporters after Sunday’s win at Southampton, Salah said: ‘We are almost in December and I haven’t received any offers yet to stay in the club. I’m probably more out than in.

‘You know I have been in the club for many years. There is no club like this. But in the end it is not in my hands. As I said, it is December and I haven’t received anything yet about my future.

‘I love the fans. The fans love me. In the end it is not in my hands or the fans’ hands.’

Asked if he was disappointed about the lack of progress, Salah added: ‘Of course, yeah. I’m not going to retire soon so I’m just playing, focusing on the season and I’m trying to win the Premier League and hopefully the Champions League as well. I’m disappointed but we will see.

‘I am very professional. Everybody can see my work ethic. I’m just trying to enjoy my football and I will play at the top level as long as possible.’

Mail Sport understands that Liverpool have made contact with Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas over the contract and senior Anfield sources have suggested those talks have been positive.

Salah, who is Liverpool’s highest earner, has not spoken to written reporters in the mixed zone for five years. At St Mary’s, he personally pointed at some journalists and asked to speak to them, clearly with the intent to get his feelings off his chest.

The 32-year-old also smirked when quizzed on past interest from Saudi Arabia.

He has scored 12 goals and registered 10 further assists already this season, including two strikes on Sunday to turn the game on its head and send Liverpool eight points clear.

Fellow star men Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold also see their deals expire next summer and neither have signed new contracts yet.
