Minya Governor: 60 awareness seminars within an awareness program for 1,200 residents of the villages of a decent life
Major General Imad Kadwani, Governor of Minya, announced the continuation of the “Awareness” program activities in various centers and cities of the governorate, amid a large turnout from villagers, with the aim of enhancing community awareness and achieving sustainable development under the umbrella of the “Decent Life” presidential initiative, launched by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to develop… Egyptian countryside.
The governor stressed that the “awareness” sessions play an important role in identifying citizens’ needs and demands, which contributes to raising the level of community awareness within the initiative’s villages, to ensure that they receive basic services in line with the size of the national projects implemented by the state in various sectors.
Major General Kadwani explained that the seminars dealt with various topics, including early marriage, maternal and child health, female genital mutilation, and family planning, in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the World Food Programme. The activities included organizing 60 awareness seminars in 5 centers: Al-Adwa, Maghagha, Abu Qurqas, Mallawi, and Dermwas, during the period from August to November, with the participation of more than 1,200 citizens of different groups and ages.
