Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, confirmed that two cooperation protocols had been signed between the ministry and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, in the field of technical consultations in the new city of El Alamein, and the field of training, studies and consultations, on the sidelines of the activities of the fourth day of the World Urban Forum in its version. The Minister of Housing explained that the first protocol relates to cooperation in the field of technical consultation in the city of New Alamein, to make an integrated proposal and a comprehensive vision for how to manage the marine resources of the beach and the artificial lake in the city of New Alamein, in a way that achieves the highest levels of safety, security and preservation. The environment, while maximizing the economic return through optimal exploitation of available capabilities, governance of the yacht and marine sports system, and logistical services for the beach and the artificial lake behind the towers.
The Minister indicated that the second protocol concerns cooperation. In the field of training to contribute to raising the efficiency of trainees, and providing the opportunity for academy students for practical training during the summer vacation period, as well as cooperation in the field of postgraduate studies in management for employees of the Ministry of Housing, as well as cooperation in the field of consultation and joint research in areas of common interest between the two sides.
For his part, the President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, appreciated the cooperation with the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities; To contribute to continuing the urban development process initiated by the Egyptian state during the era of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and in view of the large and pivotal role of the Ministry of Housing.
