Minister of Housing inspects units "Housing for all Egyptians" Developing road axes in Sadat City
The Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny, inspected the units of the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians.” With a total of 19,566 housing units – 644 of which are being implemented in Sadat City, as well as road axes development projects.
The Minister was accompanied during the tour by Dr. Abdel Khaleq Ibrahim, Assistant Minister for Technical Affairs, Eng. Amin Ghoneim, Vice President of the New Urban Communities Authority for the Urban Development Sector, Eng. Yasser Abdel Halim, Head of the Sadat City Authority, and Authority officials.
During the tour, the Minister of Housing directed – to implement standard operation and maintenance works for housing projects, pay attention to cleaning and agriculture works, intensify the planting of shaded trees in parking areas, place garbage collection boxes in a civilized and organized manner, as well as implement standard maintenance works for road axes, pay attention to cleanliness and waste removal, adjust lighting poles, expand agriculture and soil covers with low water requirements in the median strips of roads, and place signboards for projects being implemented on both sides of the road.
The Minister and his companions also inspected the progress of work at the sewage treatment plant with a capacity of 40,000 m3 per day in Sadat City, to ensure the progress of work at the various treatment stages For wastewater, where he inspected the laboratory, the SCADA system for electronic control of the station’s operation, sedimentation basins, and other components of the station, directing the completion of the work of connecting the green spaces irrigation networks to the station within two weeks, to benefit from the treated water according to the highest international standards, and rationalize water consumption.
