The Minister of Environment stressed that the twentieth session of the authority was distinguished by the realization of the concepts of the blue economy and the other axes that have a close relationship with the concepts of economic and social development, as the exceptional challenges facing the Red Sea and our Arab region require exceptional efforts in terms of financing, exchange and development of capabilities, and it was one of the most important steps The ability to reshape economic development to be at the heart of business projects, not the opposite, as it was Followed. & Nbsp; It also valued the efforts made by the Secretary -General and the technical secretariat of the authority and the efforts of member states and its representatives to participate seriously in the various works of the authority, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s support for the efforts of the presidency of Egypt for the previous session to take the necessary decisions, and the role of restoring national communication points for member states again in raising awareness and improving Communication between members to get out of a harmonious collective work. & Nbsp; The Minister of Environment presented – during the activities of the session – a number of proposals in the field of enhancing the authority’s budget and providing financing to implement projects facing environmental challenges, including taking advantage of the funds allocated to work in ground -based solutions to benefit from them in promoting natural resources, in addition to the possibility of benefiting from financing allocations For member states in the global environment facility, for the fields of desertification, climate change and diversity Biological, so that more than one country can participate in allocating the funds allocated to it or part of it in implementing a large financing project that focuses on a specific field as a kind of contribution to meet an urgent regional need. & Nbsp; She pointed to the need to enhance the involvement of the private sector, and to encourage companies to provide financing for the authority’s projects under the umbrella of social responsibility, as well as cooperation with international and regional companies in the face of plastic pollution to support the authority’s efforts in this field, and to encourage the entry of the private sector in the field of preserving coral reefs, stressing Egypt will present a working paper in this regard to present it to the Ministerial Council of the Authority.
