Minister of Endowments: We seek to transform… "Egypt Mosque" In the Administrative Capital, it is a distinguished scientific and tourism platform

Minister of Endowments, Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, confirmed that the ministry seeks to transform the Misr Mosque in the Administrative Capital into a distinguished scientific and tourism platform that confirms the vision of the political leadership in supporting moderation and spreading enlightened thought.

 

This came during the minister’s participation in the opening of the Misr Mosque in the New Administrative Capital, where the Minister of Endowments invited the Mufti of the Republic to preach for the first Friday of the mosque in the presence of senior statesmen and university youth, in an important step that confirms the political leadership’s interest in strengthening the infrastructure. The Administrative Capital Company stated – in a statement – that Dr. Nazir Ayyad, the Mufti of the Republic, delivered the first Friday sermon in the presence of Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Endowments, senior statesmen, and delegations. Youth and universities to be the best start for the opening of the Egyptian Mosque and the House of the Holy Qur’an. 

 

The Minister of Endowments confirmed that choosing The Mufti of the Republic to deliver the first Friday sermon confirms the position of the mosque as a global advocacy edifice.

 

The minister indicated that this event coincides with the transfer of the management of the Egyptian Mosque and its Islamic cultural center, scientifically and advocacy-wise, from a company The Administrative Capital for Urban Development to the Ministry of Endowments; In order to enhance the cultural and religious role of the major mosques in Egypt.

 

In the context; The Ministry announced comprehensive advocacy and scientific programs aimed at making the mosque a beacon of moderate Islamic thought and a center for spreading rational Islamic culture.

 

It should be noted that the Egypt Islamic Cultural Center includes the Egypt Mosque, which is One of the largest mosques in the world, in terms of capacity, and is characterized by a unique architectural design. It also includes “Dar Al-Qur’an” Unique in the world, the house includes 30 rooms with carvings on the walls of each room.
