Mikel Arteta gives major Kai Havertz update after he tore hamstring during Dubai training camp in February

Mikel Arteta is aiming for the injured Kai Havertz to play before the season ends in a major boost for Arsenal.
Havertz suffered a hamstring tear during the Gunners’s warm weather training camp in February which required surgery.
It has resulted in the north London club playing Mikel Merino as a makeshift No9.
In an update to fans, the German posted a video on Thursday of himself undergoing rehabilitation work in the gym.
Bukayo Saka had only returned to action last week against Fulham after also undergoing surgery on his hamstring.
It was 104 days since Saka got injured against Crystal Palace on December 21 to when he returned against Fulham on April 1.

From the announcement of Havertz’s injury, 108 days will have elapsed by Arsenal’s match against Southampton on May 25 – the Premier League season’s final day.
When asked about the comparable timelines, ahead of Arsenal’s match against Brentford on Saturday Arteta said: ‘Every injury isn’t the same. The mindset of those two (Saka and Havertz) is very, very similar. Great injury history, great work ethic, desperate to get back playing as quick as possible and great medical staff as well to look after him.
‘So, hopefully we can have him (back before end of the season), but let’s wait.
‘Once you get to the last stage of that rehab is when you can understand better how close or far you are to make that next step.’
