Menoufia Solidarity: Delivering 647 kiosks to the needy in the villages and hamlets of the governorate

The Orman Association, a member of the National Alliance for Civil Development Action in Menoufia Governorate, succeeded in delivering 647 kiosks equipped with goods and a deep freezer, and connecting the electricity meter, to the most caring families in the villages, hamlets, and centers of Menoufia Governorate, over a period of more than ten years, under the supervision of the Social Solidarity Directorate in Menoufia. This is in implementation of the Egyptian state’s directives to support vulnerable families, and under the care of Dr. Maya Morsi Minister of Social Solidarity, Major General Ibrahim Abu Laymoun, Governor of Menoufia, and under the supervision and follow-up of Mohamed Gomaa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Solidarity of Menoufia.

Major General Mamdouh Shaaban, Director General of the Orman Association, said that handing over the kiosks will improve the lives of thousands of families in Menoufia, transforming them from caring families into productive families that participate in the growth of the national product of our great governorate, which will change the face of the Egyptian economy, because it provides a real job opportunity for widows and divorced women. And people of determination, stressing the Ministry of Social Solidarity’s keenness to support those who are unable, and provide them with social and health care and protection and many other services and interventions.

Explaining that the association seeks to expand the aid base to include all the villages and hamlets most in need in all cities and centers of the governorate, pointing out the importance of these projects in alleviating the suffering of these families and contributing to starting small projects and limited investment that will help them bear the burdens of life, with coordination, supervision and continuous follow-up of the Social Solidarity Directorate on The actions and efforts that are made.

Praising the close cooperation with Menoufia Governorate, which is removing all obstacles to the association’s work, adding that the association is conducting a social survey of eligible groups and monitoring the main needs that are most urgent and impacting the reality of the lives of families most in need in the poor geographical areas for its assistance in cooperation with civil associations in villages and hamlets with the aim of distribution. It is worth noting that the Orman Association has delivered 7,394 kiosks in all governorates of the Republic over the previous years.
