Memorandum of understanding between the Medication Authority and the Society of Vascular and Interventional Surgery
The Egyptian Medicines Authority signed a memorandum of understanding with the Egyptian Society for Vascular and Interventional Surgery, in order to cooperate in the field of skills development and raising the efficiency of the medical team through the implementation of a set of training programs and awareness lectures for doctors affiliated with the society.

For her part, Dr. Rasha Ziadeh stressed the importance of cooperation between the Egyptian Medicine Authority and the Egyptian Society for Vascular Surgery in establishing a culture of reporting regarding methods of identifying and dealing with adverse effects among medical staff and patients alike, and monitoring the safe use of medicine, by participating in the distribution of awareness materials and letters addressed to caregivers. Health services affiliated with the association, in addition to providing training to disseminate the concepts of pharmacovigilance and educate doctors about ways to report adverse effects of pharmaceutical preparations.
This comes within the role of the Egyptian Medicines Authority to build and increase capabilities to develop the fields of pharmacovigilance and vigilance of medical devices and supplies, in addition to To methods of drug awareness and education for the community, delivering health messages and documented information about medicine to professionals and the public, preparing and developing awareness programs to raise the efficiency of workers in the medical field, conducting research and studies related to its work and activities, and joint cooperation and effective coordination with all parties and sharing experiences to reach the greatest possible benefit. This contributes to ensuring the safety of pharmaceutical and biological products and supplies in the Egyptian market and preserving the safety of the Egyptian citizen.
