Member of the “Representatives’ Plan”: Training is a step towards enabling young people to understand local law
Training activities for the first batch of the introductory level of the Egypt Local Simulation Model were launched for the fifth year in a row, organized by the Egyptian Youth Council. The opening was attended by Representative Samira Al-Gazzar, member of the Planning and Budget Committee in the House of Representatives, Dr. Cyril Nabil, member of the Council’s Board of Trustees, and Counselor Wagih. Sadiq, the general supervisor of the model and strategic planning advisor.
The model activities were opened by Dr. Kyrollos, who in his speech welcomed the participants from the different governorates, and said that this is the fifth session of the local simulation model held by the Egyptian Youth Council, because of what the administration represents. Local education is important, as it is one of the main tools for achieving economic, social and political development for society because of its direct relationship to the life of the citizen, stressing that this training represents part of the plan of the Egyptian Youth Council under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Mamdouh, Chairman of the Board of Trustees and member of the National Council for Human Rights. p>
In her speech, Representative Samira Al-Gazzar praised the great progress witnessed in the simulation model, considering it an important step towards enabling young people to understand the local law and implement it on the ground. To prepare a new generation of young leaders capable of facing the challenges of local work and contributing to the development of their communities.
Ammar Muhammad, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Model, explained the vision and objectives of the Model, which aims to enhance the effective participation of young people in local work and qualify them. To deal with societal issues through practical and theoretical training on the roles of local councils.
The first training day included a group of specialized lectures, where Dr. Mustafa Khalaf gave a lecture on the constitutional and legal frameworks of local councils, explaining the vital role that local councils play in Achieving sustainable development. Rahma Hamdi also gave a lecture on report writing, dialogue and negotiation skills, providing practical advice on how to draft effective reports and fruitful negotiations.
The training concluded with a lecture given by Counselor Wajih Sadiq on crisis management in Electoral campaigns, pointing out the importance of advance planning and dealing with crises flexibly and efficiently during electoral campaigns.
It is noteworthy that this training comes within the strategy of the Egyptian Youth Council aimed at empowering young people to play a role Pivotal in local work, and qualifying them to assume leadership positions in the future, through an integrated training program that addresses various aspects of work within local councils.
