Meet the WAGs of the Masters 2025: A Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, a rising tennis star, the daughter of a hockey legend and two high school sweethearts

Dustin Johnson’s wife Paulina Gretzky led the way as golf’s most prolific WAGs stunned at the Masters in Augusta.

Golf’s biggest stars and their partners put on a show on Wednesday, April 9 for the traditional Par-3 competition where players’ wives, girlfriends and children traditionally caddy.

Scottie Scheffler returns to the iconic tournament as the defending champion but Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm and Ludvig Aberg are among those desperate to dethrone the current world no.1. 

But while most of the focus will be on the course once the action begins, the players’ wives and girlfriends were attracting all of the attention in the build-up to the men’s first major championship of the year. 

Among the gorgeous faces stealing the men’s spotlight was Ludvig Aberg’s girlfriend Olivia Peet who is a rising tennis star. Meanwhile, Erica Stoll and Rory McIlroy looked as loved up as ever, one year on from their U-turn divorce, as Meredith Scudder is Scheffler’s childhood sweetheart.

With the tournament in full swing, Mail Sport takes a look at the glamorous partners set to steal the show at Augusta National.

Paulina Gretzky (Dustin Johnson) 

Paulina is the daughter of Wayne Gretzky, widely acknowledged to be the greatest ice hockey player of all time. 

Despite her father’s fame in the sporting world, Paulina is famous in her own right thanks to her work as an actress, model and singer. 

The glamorous WAG has featured in movies like Grown Ups 2 (2013), Fame (2009) and Guns, Girls and Gambling (2012) and has also had record deals. 

Paulina and Johnson, who has won both the Masters and US Open, got engaged in 2013 and, after a lengthy engagement, finally tied the knot in April 2022. They share two sons together, River and Tatum.

The pair exchanged vows in front of a glamorous crowd of friends and family, including Bravo reality stars Paige DeSorbo, Craig Conover, and Austen Kroll. 

The wedding also included a performance from Kid Rock, who sang a cover of Chris Stapleton’s ‘Joy of My Life.’

The model revealed she received death threats following her husband’s move to LIV Golf. 

Johnson defected to the rebel circuit for a reported $150million when it erupted onto the golfing scene in 2022. 

‘People sending death threats and awful, awful, awful things,’ Gretzky said during an interview on Netflix show Full Swing, which details the fallout of the PGA Tour’s ceasefire with LIV.

‘People were aggressive that’s for sure. But that’s when I shut it down for a little bit. I was like I don’t need to look at this. Everyone has an opinion on it. Fine.’ 

Jena Sims Koepka (Brooks Koepka)

Sims and Koepka met in 2015 at the Masters, which Jena told Golf Digest in 2019 was fitting because she is a Georgia native.

‘We met at the 2015 Masters. And that’s so special because I’m from Georgia, so it’s perfect,’ she explained. ‘We were on Hole 7, which I don’t even remember, but he’s like, “Oh, I remember what you were wearing, where we were standing, everything.”‘

Jena explained that she was a long-time golf fan and had always grown up watching the sport because of her father.

Brooks and Jena then announced that they were engaged in April 2021, after more than five years together. 

The romantic proposal took place on a beach in Jupiter, Florida and he shared her post to his Instagram story, adding, ‘Finally…’

In September 2021, Brooks opened up about how Jena changed his life.

‘The way I’m wired, I’m all on or all off. Maybe I didn’t understand that the first 25 years of my life, but in the past five years I’ve been able to own who I am and find that happiness,’ he told Golf Digest.

‘I don’t know if that’s because of Jena or because I understand more of how things work, but you mature a little more.

‘I can’t put my finger on it. But when it comes together, and you see what works, you say, this is the program, and I’m going to stick with it.’

Jena – who was a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model in 2024 and an actress, and most known for her role in the Sharknado movies – is often photographed supporting Brooks at his golf events.

The couple wed seven years after first meeting and welcomed their first child – a baby boy named Crew – in July 2023, six weeks before his due date.

Meredith Scudder (Scottie Scheffler) 

Scheffler is dominating the PGA Tour at the moment and he’ll be one of the favorites to win another Green Jacket this week. 

Scheffler and his wife Meredith Scudder tied the knot in 2020, after six years of dating. The couple are high school sweethearts, and met while they both attended Highland Park High School when they were just teens.

When it came time for them to head off to college, the pair both went to different schools in Texas but stayed together.

They both graduated in 2018, and the sports star popped the question two years later.

At the time, Meredith gushed, ‘YES! I can’t believe God gave me my best friend to spend the rest of my life with. Can’t wait to be your wife, Scottie! Blown away at the Lord’s faithfulness and goodness to us. [LET’S] DO THIS!’

They got married in December 2020 at Arlington Hall in Dallas. 

The two have kept their romance pretty low-key other than that – with Scottie hardly ever sharing any pics with his wife to social media, and her accounts set to private. 

The couple welcomed their first child together on May 8, 2024, a son Bennett just weeks after Scheffler won the 2024 Masters. 

Scudder is often spotted at his tournaments supporting him as he continues to win title after title, with their most recent outing being the Par 3 contest, where she and couple’s young son served as the defending champion’s caddie.

As for her own job, Meredith previously worked for various different humanitarian organizations, including Family Legacy and Live Beyond.

Erica McIlroy (Rory McIlroy)

Northern Irish star Rory McIlroy is married to Erica Stroll – with the pair first being introduced to each other back in 2012. 

But despite initially meeting one another at the Ryder Cup that year, where Erica, 35, was working for the PGA, it wasn’t until a few years later that the pair would enter a relationship.

A few months after calling off his engagement with tennis star Caroline Wozniacki in 2014, McIlroy and Erica got together before getting engaged a year later. 

McIlroy proposed to Erica in 2015 while the couple were on holiday in Paris. The proposal reportedly took place on the Champs-Elysees while the pair were walking around admiring the city.

The pair would tie the knot on April 21, 2017. Their guest list famously included the likes of Stevie Wonder, Chris Martin and Niall Horan.

McIlroy’s wedding took place on the grounds of Ashworth Castle, which is one of Ireland’s top hotels. It was reported that the fireworks display alone cost more than an estimated £50,000. The ceremony in Co Mayo itself would cost a whopping £200,000. 

The pair have one child. Poppy Kennedy McIlroy was on born August 31, 2020.

Erica was raised in Irondequoit, New York. She later move to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. She worked as the manager of the Championship Volunteer Operations for the PGA of America in 2011.

In her spare time, she is a sailor and likes to watch TV, being a keen fan of The Batchelor. 

She also likes to bake and made cookies in celebration of Team Europe’s Ryder Cup win in 2018.

Speaking on how he got together with his wife, McIlroy told Cool FM radio: ‘We were friends for a couple of years and we knew each other sort of from the golf circuit, and in summer 2014, towards the end of the summer, started to spend a bit more time together and it went from there.’

The couple were engulfed in a media storm last year after the 25-year-old filed for a day before arriving for the 2024 PGA Championship

However just weeks later, the couple called off their separation. Ahead of the 2025 Masters McIlroy delivered a positive update on his relationship with wife Erica Stoll, admitting it is ‘amazing’ to share his golfing life with his family.

Kelley Rahm (Jon Rahm)

Former US Open and Masters champion Rahm has had now-wife Kelley by his side throughout his sublime career.

The couple first met when they were both students at Arizona State University and have been together since at least 2016 – when Kelley first appeared on Rahm’s Instagram.

Rahm wed the former college athlete in 2019 and they now have two children together. They announced last week that they are expecting a third child.

The Spaniard’s wife was was raised in Lake Oswego, Oregeon, before graduating from Arizona State University while representing the state in javelin competitions, reported The Sun.

The couple wed in the Spanish city of Bilbao at the end of 2019.

Their first child was born in April 2021 and at the time, Rahm said he would not hesitate to walk out on the 2021 Masters if his wife went into labour during the event.

But thankfully, the baby arrived early, with proud father Rahm celebrating the birth online. He wrote on Instagram: ‘Without a doubt, the greatest day of my life.’

In August 2022, the couple welcomed their second child, Eneko, with Rahm saying online: ‘Feeling grateful for another healthy boy!

Rahm and Cahill’s third child and first daughter Alaia, was born in September 2024.

Rahm took to Instagram to reveal the news writing, ‘So blessed. Mama and baby girl are both healthy and doing great.’

Katherine Gaal (Matthew Fitzpatrick) 

Matt Fitzpatrick’s wife is Katherine Fitzpatrick neé Gaal. 

It remains unclear when they started dating but they went Instagram official in January 2023 before becoming engaged just eight months later in September of last year.

Katherine was raised in New Jersey and was even awarded first runner-up in the Miss New Jersey USA pageant in 2013, reported People magazine.

She went to Pennsylvania State University and graduated with a double major in finance and broadcast journalism. She has since marked out a career in marketing.

For the last four years, she’s worked at Commvault, a software development company.

The pair became engaged in September 2023 with Matt popping the question in a picturesque garden in New Jersey. They took to Instagram to share adorable loved-up snaps of the moment.

The couple officially tied the knot back in October 2024 in a romantic ceremony.

Nikki Guidish (Patrick Cantlay) 

Back in 2021 Cantlay went public with his relationship with Guidish, a pharmacist and former fitness model.

The couple announced their engagement one year later, with Guidish sharing the news with her 23k Instagram followers.

Since their relationship was made public, she has regularly been seen cheering on her husband at golf tournaments and PGA outings.

Cantlay and the USA may not have had much to celebrate at the 2023 Ryder Cup but the couple decided to get married the following day in Rome.

They tied the knot just 13 miles away from the Marco Simone Golf and Country Club at the St. Regis. 

Among the famous faces in attendance was his Ryder Cup teammate Justin Thomas and LPGA star Jessica Korda.

Cantlay posted pictures of the big day on Instagram, captioning them: ‘So incredibly thankful for all the friends and family that joined us on the best day of our lives.’

The loving couple also share an adorable pooch together, a golden retriever named Maverick, Mav for short.

Katherine Morikawa (Colin Morikawa) 

Former Open champion Morikawa met wife Katherine while they were both playing collegiate golf in 2017.

After four years of dating they eventually got engaged in 2021, with Katherine writing on Instagram at the time, ‘My forever and ever, I love you.’

The pair got a golden doodle named Koa together in February 2021, before tying the knot a year later in 2022.

Katherine, who was born in Canada but attended high school in China, has a major in international management and was also seen caddying for her husband at the Augusta National Golf Club in 2022.

And the star couldn’t stop gushing over her one month later. ‘I am very lucky to have her,’ he said, according to Golf Monthly. ‘Kat has been by my side through it all.’

‘She would hate me if I didn’t say this, but I didn’t start winning in college until she showed up in my life, so thanks Kat. Whenever she’s there, it always just gets me away from golf. She knows how I’m feeling after golf.

‘Like you said, she’s played collegiately, she knows golf can take a toll on you, whether it’s a good or bad day. So she’s on that same swing of if we’re playing well or not well, but, yeah, I’m very lucky to have her.’

Katherine, who is from Vancouver, is the daughter of tennis champion Mike Chu.

Olivia Peet (Ludvig Åberg)

Ludvig Åberg’s girlfriend is Olivia Peet, with the pair spotted in public for the first time at the 2023 Ryder Cup in Rome.

The 25-year-old golf player is dating the rising tennis star after apparently meeting at Texas Tech.

Olivia is from Manchester, and prior to moving to the US, she was believed to be one of 10 nationally ranked players in England.

It appears tennis skills run in her family, since Olivia’s father Chris is a former tennis professional and now coach.

Annie Spieth (Jordan Spieth)

Like Scheffler, Jordan Spieth is also married to his high school sweetheart.  

He and Annie Verret officially tied the knot in November 2018 – getting married in their home state of Texas – and fellow golf stars Rickie Fowler, Jason Dufner, Jimmy Walker and Zach Johnson were some of the players in attendance.

They welcomed their first child, a son called Sammy, on November 14, 2021 before having a baby girl, Sophie, in September 2023.

With the doting couple currently expecting their third child together, due in July 2025. 

Sammy has made a handful of public appearances, including at the Presidents Cup at Quail Hollow, where he adorably wore headphones to protect his ears from the noise.

He also stole the show at The Masters last year during the Par 3 contest, when players’ wives and children traditionally caddy.

He had a blast rolling around in bunkers, testing the Augusta rough and even hitting a few putts with the help of dad.

‘My wife has been just a rock to me,’ Spieth told SI.com in April 2021 following his win at the Valero Texas Open. 

‘This is my first win since we’ve been married so it’s been progressing this way since maybe December.

‘Before that, there were a lot of tough times. When you’re struggling at work, you try not to bring it home and that kind of stuff. I’m very grateful for the people I have around me.’

Annie reportedly works as an event coordinator at The First Tee of Greater Dallas – an organization dedicated to inspiring underprivileged children through golf.
