Erling Haaland’s future is one of the most talked about things in European football recently. Everyone is talking about the Borussia Dortmund striker and speculating about his next move.
The Norwegian is expected to leave the German club next summer, with a clause in his contract becoming active that will allow him to leave if a release clause is met.
“Of course it will be difficult, but we will do everything we can to keep our best players”, said the director of Dortmund, Hans-Joachim Watzke.
Former Real Madrid player Steve McManaman has also had his say on Haaland’s future, and he hopes Los Blancos like the Norwegian.
“Do I think Liverpool will be fighting to sign him next summer? No,” McManaman initially said to horseracing.net.
“I really think he will go to Real Madrid and the player personally likes the idea of the club, the lifestyle and everything that comes with playing for them.”
“I don’t think the price is the reason why Liverpool won’t sign him. It’s all the other variables of signing a player of his caliber. He would have a big salary and all the other players would want the same.”
“Mino Raiola would also like a lot of money for himself, and I don’t think Liverpool want to get involved in that,” the Englishman concluded. /Telegraph/
