Married At First Sight fans call for ‘Mr Nice Guy’ Paul Antoine to be removed from the show after he punches a wall in rage amid calls for Nine to have domestic violence expert on the show

Married At First Sight fans are fuming after Paul Antoine made the jaw-dropping admission he punched a wall during an argument with Carina Mirabile in their apartment.
The French groom sent shockwaves through the experiment when he confessed to the violent outburst during Wednesday night’s dinner party.
A teaser at the end of the episode showed Paul breaking down in tears on the couch as he faced the experts, with John Aitken threatening to remove him from the show.
Comments have been turned off on Paul’s Instagram, but are flooding MAFS fan pages and accounts by their thousands.
The vast majority of fans are calling for the ‘Mr. Nice Guy’ groom to be immediately sent packing from the series and for a domestic violence profession to join the panel of experts.
‘This season really feels like watching real life abuse. It’s a tough watch and feels unkind to look on, so I might have to tap out,’ one viewer commented on Josh Fox’s MAFS Funny account.

‘I feel we’re now at a point with this show where we must put pressure on those in charge to reassess their practices going forward,’ the former KIIS FM radio producer wrote.
The issue has really hit a nerve for Australian viewers.
‘The panel needs a domestic violence expert,’ another viewer agreed.
‘DV behaviours have appeared on this show for years, but now it’s called out because the violence is physical? Shameful on MAFS’ part.’
The divide in the comment section is stark, with self-identified victims of domestic violence and women saying the episode was ‘triggering’.
Meanwhile, some male commenters, including controversial MAFS grooms Harrison Boon and Dean Wells, have praised Paul’s apology and defended him.
‘How many women have smashed and thrown wine glasses at or around people on that show?’ Wells commented, with Boon calling for ‘harsh penalties’ to be imposed on women who make ‘false claims of domestic violence.’
‘Everyone in the comments defending him, praising him for “owning it” or condoning it completely needs the reminder that it wasn’t women that killed 104 women last year,’ another viewer added.

‘An enraged man who punches a wall in front of you hasn’t “lost control”.
‘He’s very much in control and has asserted it,’ another said.
‘Real men hit walls, not women,’ one more added.
‘Respect for keeping his cool and not going absolutely berserk.’
Fans are also outraged Carina comforted Paul as the group turned on the groom after his confession.
‘The tears, “I’m sorry it’ll never happen again” is where it starts. He then went on to blame her for making him feel boxed in. I hope he gets kicked off.’
Channel Nine told Daily Mail Australia they are providing support to the couple.
‘Nine and Endemol Shine Australia has treated this matter extremely seriously. Our first priority at all times has been the wellbeing and safety of the participants and after extensive consultation with Carina, she wanted to remain in the experiment with Paul. We continue to provide support for Carina and Paul,’ they said in a statement.
Daily Mail Australia exclusively revealed that Paul had a violent outburst and punched a hole in the wall of their shared apartment after learning that bride Carina had slept with American rapper Quavo before the experiment.

Married At First Sight couple Carina and Paul have been one of the strongest and most loved-up in the series so far
The events began with a boozy day out involving Paul and Carina, plus fellow MAFS couple Jeff Gobbels and Rhi Disljenkovic.
The group spent hours drinking at Searock Grill in Sydney’s Circular Quay when Carina made the startling confession about Quavo.
Once back at the apartment, tensions escalated.
Carina repeatedly apologised, trying to reassure Paul that it was just a fling, but the revelation had already sent him over the edge.
‘It was really embarrassing for him. He wanted to leave the room, but instead, he completely lost it and took his frustration out on a wall,’ an insider revealed.
