The Small and Medium Enterprises Committee in the House of Representatives, headed by Representative Mohamed Kamal Marhi, inspected today the industrial complex in Hurghada, where the committee visited a number of units in the complex to find out the problems they face and work to solve them.

Marai demanded from the Small and Micro Enterprise Agency the necessity of holding training courses for workers in the industrial units in the Hurghada Complex. Marai said that an integrated system for industries must be created. MP Mohamed Kamal Marei described the industry file as one of the most important national security files, stressing the need to confront the challenges of industrial development such as providing raw materials and controlling prices. He added that strengthening efforts to support the local industry will lead to reducing dependence on imports and spreading Egyptian products internally and externally.
During the tour, the head of the committee asked one of the investors to implement a model of an armored wooden door, stressing his willingness to fully support its costs if it is perfected. The product will be distributed throughout the republic. He also announced a reduction in interest and an extension of the grace period for Egyptian products, which contribute to reducing imports.
The committee delegation listened to investors’ problems, which were represented by bank defaults, the difficulty of importing raw materials, storage problems, and the need to open new export markets.
Investors also called for the launch of a collective platform to identify the needs of foreign markets and provide training opportunities abroad.
