Manal Awad reviews the Ministry’s efforts to reduce development gaps between rural and urban areas

Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development, reviewed the Ministry’s efforts to achieve sustainable urban and agricultural development and reduce the development gaps between rural and urban areas through implementing programs and projects aimed at developing villages and urban areas in an integrated manner, with a focus on improving infrastructure and enhancing the quality of life for citizens.

 

This came during the Minister of Local Development’s participation in a meeting of the Local Administration Committee in the House of Representatives, headed by Engineer Ahmed Al-Sijini, a member of the House of Representatives, and in the presence of Counselor Mahmoud. Fawzi, Minister of Parliamentary Legal Affairs and Political Communication, Representative Muhammad Wafiq, Deputy of the Committee, Representative Muhammad Al-Husseini, Deputy Secretary of the Committee, and Representative Amr Darwish, Secretary of the Committee. Representative Muhammad Al-Fayoumi, Chairman of the Housing Committee in the House of Representatives, and a number of members also participated in the meeting, with the participation of a number of leaders of the Ministry of Local Development.< /p>

 

Where the Minister of Local Development explained that the urban estates for 230 cities have been completed, representing 100% of the total number of cities, The urban estate was also completed for 4,607 villages, representing 96% of the total number of villages, and 22,471 estates, Kafr and Naga’s, representing 69%. As for the detailed plans, 169 cities were completed, representing 78% of the total number of cities, which numbered 216 cities, as well as 4,146, representing 93% of the total number of 4478 villages A village.

 

Dr. Manal Awad referred to the Ministry’s efforts in detailed plans for industrial zones in the governorates’ governorates, which number 66 industrial zones in 22 governorates, where a detailed plan is being prepared for 50 industrial zones. Through the Military Survey Department in light of the protocol signed with the Ministry, it includes 13 industrial zones for which a general and detailed plan has been prepared, and 37 industrial zones that work is underway to complete, pointing out that there are 13 industrial zones for which detailed plans were prepared through consulting offices and contracted through the governorates, in addition to 3 industrial zones that do not require detailed plans.
