If Manchester United lose tonight, it will break a whole host of records.
I’ve already told you all about the fact that they have not lost three league matches on the bounce at Old Trafford since 1979.
Well, they have lost their last two against Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth, conceding three goals in both.
United have not conceded three or more goals in three consecutive home matches in 62 years…
I mean, if they let in three tonight, Old Trafford will go blooming barmy. It will not be a nice place to be. Well, unless you’re a Newcastle fan.
The unwanted records don’t stop there, though.
If United fail to find the net tonight, it will be the first time they have failed to score in three successive league games since 2015.
And Ruben Amorim’s side are aiming to avoid five league defeats in the same month since 1962.
I mean, that’s pretty crazy, isn’t it?
If you needed anything to tell you just how badly United have been playing, then these statistics tell you all you need to know.
United really, really, really need those three points tonight.
