Man City sign highly-rated teenager from LaLiga… after his former club furiously claimed the Premier League champions had ‘supported and guided’ him to force the move
Manchester City have landed defender Juma Bah from Real Valladolid after accusations over their conduct last week.
The LaLiga side published a furious 364-word statement claiming that City had ‘supported and guided’ the 18-year-old into failing to turn up to training in a bid to force the move.
City deny the allegations, while Bah had paid the £5.1million minimum release fee clause to terminate his youth contract and seal the switch, money then reimbursed by the buying club.
Valladolid were left frustrated to lose the Sierra Leonian for around a third of the cash they had expected to were he to have penned professional terms.
Bah was sent straight to Lens – whom City signed the £33m youngster Abdukodir Khusanov from last week – on loan until the end of the season.
The Premier League champions are planning to check on Bah’s development in Ligue 1 before making a call on his next steps.

Manchester City have strenuously denied the accusations made by the Spanish outfit
Valladolid’s statement added that they ‘reserve the right to go to the appropriate legal and sporting jurisdictions to exercise its rights and defend its interests’ but they remained tight-lipped on Monday.
Meanwhile, Oscar Bobb is fighting to prove his fitness and bring an end to five months on the sidelines when City go to Arsenal this weekend.
The Norway international was set to become a breakout star for Pep Guardiola this season before fracturing a bone in his leg during a training session in August.
Bobb had shone in pre-season and at the Community Shield, with Guardiola ready to give the 21-year-old a run as first-choice on the right wing.
City have missed Bobb’s intensity during a dismal run of form but did welcome him back into first-team training a fortnight ago.
Bobb is understood to have a slim chance of making the trip to the Emirates, with the FA Cup fourth-round tie at Leyton Orient a week later seen as more of a guarantee.
