Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 has officially come to a close, and fans are frothing the grilling Paul Antoine has copped!!!
This article contains Married At First Sight (MAFS) spoilers. It’s up to you if you wanna stay or leave.
We gather here to day to both mourn and celebrate the end of MAFS 2025. We’ve had heaps of fights, drama, and HEAPS of scrubs come through our television screens this season. Thankfully, one of them was read to filth at the Reunion Finale.
We’re talking about Paul Antoine and his inability to take accountability for his failed MAFS marriage.
To give you a quick recap on all the buffoonery of Paul’s time on MAFS, the Frenchman was brutally dumped by Carina Mirabile at Final Vows following a difficult three months.
You see, while their marriage was mostly shown in a positive light, Carina and Paul went through some very tough moments during their time in the experiment.
Firstly, Carina and Paul knew each other before being matched in the experiment, with Carina revealing that Paul had ghosted her prior to MAFS.
Later on in the experiment, Paul revealed he’d punched a wall in a jealous rage after Carina revealed she slept with a rapper that was playing on the radio. After apologising for that, a couple of weeks later, he called Carina a “snob” in an Honesty Letter.
Lastly, a week before Final Vows, Paul agreed to go on a Final Test Date, fully betraying Carina’s trust, which led to the massive dumping.
However, when Reunion rolled around, Paul was no longer remorseful for his many, many mistakes and instead blamed Carina and the incompatibility for the relationship’s demise, which left a sour taste in his co-stars (and viewers’) mouths.
On Monday night’s episode — which marked the official end of the MAFS 2025 season — Paul had his booty grilled for the billionth time, and it was the Experts who handed the grilling this time around.
Taking to the ouch couch for the final time (hopefully), Paul expressed how Carina’s rejection at Final Vows really hurt him. However, shortly after the whole dumping, he revealed that he realised that he and Carina weren’t compatible because she was “judgemental” and was unable to take criticism.
“My major concern was the fact that Carina wasn’t showing her true self because she was worried about her image,” Paul revealed, shocking his co-stars.

Sexologist and MAFS expert Alessandra Rampolla pointed out that the “common denominator” in Paul’s complaints was that Carina was standing up for what she believed in.
“She was talking about staying true to herself and her beliefs,” Alessandra shared as Paul talked over her.
As the groom continued to justify his actions while interrupting the expert, Alessandra quickly shut him down, telling him, “I would appreciate it, Paul, if you didn’t speak over me”.

OKAY, GENTLE PARENTING!
Shortly after Alessandra grilled him, his co-star Jeff Gobbels spoke out, pointing out that if she was so worried about how others perceived her, she wouldn’t have forgiven him for all those cooked mistakes.
“I don’t think [Carina] was worried about what other people thought, because if she did, she wouldn’t have forgiven you,” Jeff shared.
PREACH, JEFF, PREACH.

After watching a montage of their journey on MAFS — which showed all of Paul’s major fuck ups, including the wall punch confession — Paul surprisingly failed to take accountability for his part in the relationship’s demise.
The groom’s stubbornness then angered big zaddy, MAFS expert John Aiken, who demands that Paul look at him while he receives his grilling.
“You have to stop playing the victim. And look at me when I’m talking to you because I won’t get another chance to give this to you straight,” John shared, bringing out the Morena Farina finger!!!

“You need to change. I have seen a guy who has consistently broken his partner’s trust. Not once, not twice. Three times.”
After that bad-ass opening, Aiken kicked off with the wall punch, which he labelled as “violence” and something he “shouldn’t have done”. He then went on to the Honesty Letter and the comment he shared with Awhina Rutene, which Aiken labelled as “betrayal”. And then he brought up the Final Test Date, the third and final blow to their marriage.
“Any way you look at it, it’s bad,” Aiken shared.
“And I don’t like to sit this close and watch someone blame the person who’s been on the receiving end of that. Rolling their eyes and shrugging, saying they’re ‘not compatible because of these reasons’. Frankly, it makes me sick in the stomach.
“This must be a wake-up call for you.”

Lastly, Carina said the whole situation has left her frustrated and disappointed as she didn’t get the fairytale ending she was hoping for (and deserving of!).
Here’s what MAFS fans said about Paul’s MUCH-NEEDED grilling.

Welp. THERE YA HAVE IT. The end of MAFS 2025.
It’s been a pleasure writing, reacting, and crying with you. My biggest takeaway is that dating in Australia is literally the trenches, and I’ll find better luck in another universe.
Now excuse me as I astral project to my husband.
