MAFS’ Jessika Power Responds To Backlash After Ex Sam ‘The Punisher’ Abdulrahim’s Death

Former Married at First Sight (MAFS) star Jessika Power has had an influx of people calling her out online for supporting her late ex-partner, Sam “The Punisher” Abdulrahim

The reality TV personality took to Instagram to give the keyboard warriors a piece of her mind after copping flak for paying tribute to Abdulrahim, who was gunned down in Melbourne on Tuesday.

Power and Abdulrahim had a brief relationship back in 2019 after shortly after he served time in prison for a high-speed car crash. Despite their romance fizzling out, Power told Daily Mail that they stayed in touch.

In an Instagram Story, Power didn’t mince words: “I’m just over it and it doesn’t need to reflect back into my personal life now … please be respectful and understand that someone has passed away.”

She went on to blast the commenters, saying, “And that we don’t need to be assholes on the internet constantly and I know there are some troll accounts out there that go ‘Oh I wanna be a piece of shit today’.”

The MAFS alum didn’t hold back, urging the haters to pull their heads in: “Just stop doing it because it’s not fair on anyone and this is actually a real life event and it is actually really hard on people.

“And it doesn’t need to affect me … me and my relationship right now and it doesn’t anything else.”

Power had earlier described Abdulrahim as a “great protector” and a “family man” to Daily Mail, which seemed to ruffle some feathers online.

She defended her ex, saying, “Everybody looks at these bikies and Mongols as bad people, but he was a family man, he was dedicated to his family.”

While Power acknowledged that Abdulrahim’s underworld connections were a deal-breaker for their relationship, she maintained that he was “protective of his family” and “certainly protective of me when we were together”.

Hundreds of mourners gathered on Thursday to attend Abdulrahim’s funeral.
