The wildest Married At First Sight (MAFS) challenge continued last night, with the remaining couples taking part in Final Test Week — where they had the option to choose to meet a backup date.
Jamie Marinos opted to go on the date with a mystery man, but ended up with egg on her face when she was ghosted. We’ve all been there!
Daily Mail claims to have received intel that Jamie’s backup date is Tyson Fievez, a tradie and influencer from Melbourne. The MAFS bride says she was never told who her match was, and she isn’t keen to have a cheeky rendezvous with him in the future.
“I’m married at the moment, so I’m not gonna fall for that,” Jamie tells PEDESTRIAN.TV.
She adds that even if Tyson had tried to slide into her DMs, she doesn’t have access to social media at the moment. And Jamie reckons she’s not even a tiny bit curious about her potential match.
“I am so nosy, but you know, fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I’m never interested in ever meeting this man, even if I end up single. I don’t ever want to meet this man. I’ve learned my lesson,” she says.
Jamie admits her decision to go on the date — which she says was a catch up, not a date — was a “mistake” and a huge “risk” to take.
“I’m human, I’m not going to be perfect,” she explains. “But at the same time, I think people that truly understand the fact of the matter is I experienced very real hurt, very real pain and rejection only a few weeks ago.
“I’m not going to make decisions in the best headspace. I’m going to make decisions that I probably wouldn’t have made if we take it back a month. Unfortunately, I failed. I failed myself. I failed my relationship.”
Who is Jamie’s MAFS backup match Tyson Fievez?
Tyson Fievez is a plumber and model who is managed by Brooklyn MGMT. He has 16.8K followers on Instagram and 46.3K followers on TikTok.
He often shares videos of himself lipsyncing to popular songs, along with advocating for mental health.

His Instagram shows off some of his latest modelling assignments, including a recent photoshoot where he worked with photographer Ed Purnomo.

PEDESTRIAN.TV has reached out to Tyson to confirm or deny whether or not he is the mystery man.
Did Jamie consider the MAFS Final Test Challenge cheating?
Seeing as the MAFS Final Test completely ruined Carina Mirable and Paul Antoine’s relationship when it was seen as cheating, viewers were surprised that Jamie decided to go on the date.
However, she tells PEDESTRIAN.TV her relationship is so different to Carina and Paul’s, and she didn’t consider it as a romantic day out.
“I did not consider the challenge cheating,” she declares. “Obviously, I understand and respect where Carina is coming from, but her views and values are very different to mine.”

She adds that she works in a nightclub and is “surrounded by men”, and is comfortable with her husband Dave Hand having friends of the opposite sex.
“I wouldn’t have had an issue had Dave went on the catch up, so for me, I didn’t treat it as such. I was very clear with my intentions. I wasn’t trying to jump ship, so no, it wasn’t considered cheating,” she says.
In the end, Jamie is glad she was ghosted during the Final Test Challenge, because she says it actually helped her relationship with Dave.
“It kind of did strengthen mine and Dave’s relationship, and I guess it was the reminder and kind of to shake me into, you know, I’ve got someone at home that I’m working on a relationship with,” she explains.
“This is a big sign in the universe to just lay the focus on rebuilding what I had.”
Awww. It sounds like Jamie and Dave are back on track! Dare I say we believe in love again?
