Madbouly: We are working to increase hotel rooms to double incoming tourist traffic

 Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly confirmed that the tourism sector is one of the important files on the Egyptian state’s agenda, as work is being done according to clear targets to increase hotel rooms in many tourist attraction points, in an effort to double the tourist traffic coming to Egypt, and provide All the elements that guarantee a distinct experience for tourists, given its promising potential and unique destinations. 

This came during the meeting that It was held by Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, this Thursday evening, with Sherif Fathi, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, to discuss ways to stimulate investment in the tourism sector, in the presence of Ahmed Nabil, Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities.

 

The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities presented the results of two meetings held with the Egyptian Federation of Tourism Chambers and representatives of a number of tourism investor associations. To discuss ways to stimulate tourism investment, as well as discuss the various initiatives offered by the state to encourage tourism investment, and existing and potential partnerships between the government and the tourism sector, where he discussed the most prominent proposals that were put forward with the aim of achieving the desired growth in the hotel room implementation movement in Egypt, in light of the need for more Hotel capacities in a number of important tourist destinations.

 

The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities pointed out that these proposals included facilitating a number of special procedures Hotel and tourism establishments to improve the investment climate in the tourism sector, in addition to working on formulating a promotional strategy for investment opportunities in this sector, and encouraging the building of partnerships between the public and private sectors to implement these projects, in addition to studying the introduction of new advantages for tourism projects, while working to create the supporting elements. For the tourism sector, including developing and raising the efficiency of a number of roads leading to various tourist destinations, and providing the necessary services on them, to facilitate the movement of tourists.
