Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly stressed the keenness of the various relevant state agencies to contribute to creating an attractive climate for investments in various sectors, indicating that the state will continue to provide more facilities, to encourage and attract local and foreign investors to exploit the investment opportunities available in Egypt in many sectors. This came during a meeting with Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, this Monday evening; With the Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Engineer Hassan Al-Khatib, a number of the Ministry’s work files were reviewed and followed up.
During the meeting, the Minister reviewed the steps being taken and the procedures being implemented, with the aim of providing more facilities to the investor sector in many areas, pointing in this regard to the measures being taken related to reducing costs, as well as the time for customs clearance, noting the legislative amendments that have been prepared in the customs law, and others related to exports. And imports, which contributes to achieving the goal of reducing cost and time.
The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Counselor Mohamed Al-Homsani, stated that the meeting touched on following up on the projects of the Sovereign Fund of Egypt, and a number of challenges facing some investors were reviewed, and what Measures and steps have been taken by the Ministry of Investment to solve these problems and deal with these challenges, which contributes to creating a favorable environment for investment and attracting more investors.
He added that the meeting discussed the measures taken within the framework of the vision. Which was proposed by the Ministry of Investment and recently approved by the Council of Ministers regarding the regulation of the automobile market in Egypt, which aims to work to stimulate investment in the local market, noting that the Minister of Investment referred in this regard to the meetings and encounters that were held with a number of international agency officials. In Egypt, where he stressed during these meetings the state’s interest in developing a vision that aims to provide cars in the local market that conform to specifications, and have accredited service centers that provide spare parts, in order to ensure that there is fair competition and achieve more balance in prices.
