Luke Littler goes WILD in hilarious moment on live stream while playing video game – and fans claim he celebrated more than during his World Darts Championship triumph

Darts star Luke Littler was seen wildly celebrating a penalty save while playing a video game during a live stream on Tuesday.

The 18-year-old made history earlier this month after beating Michael van Gerwen in the Darts World Championship final at Alexandra Palace and, in turn, claiming a £500,000 prize.

It was the crowning moment in Littler’s career thus far and, since then, the teenager has enjoyed trips across the globe as the dust settled on his impressive win.

However, Littler soon went ‘back to normal’ and part of that ‘normal’ routine involves gaming online with his friends and streaming it for fans to watchalong.

And on Tuesday evening, he treated viewers to an impassioned celebration as he emerged victorious from a penalty shootout on popular game, EAFC 25 (previously known as FIFA).

In a TikTok live stream, Littler appeared focused as he took part in the penalty shootout – before saving his opponent’s final penalty to earn him the win in the game’s Ultimate Team Champions mode.

The 18-year-old then jumped to his feet and screamed: ‘Get in! Cmon! Woo!’ towards the camera before sitting back down.

One fan who posted a clip of the incident wrote: ‘Luke Littler just celebrated more saving a penalty on FUT Champs than he did winning £500k from darts.’

When he defeated Van Gerwen in the World Championship, Littler was overcome with emotion on stage and quickly burst into tears after sealing the win.

While he’s best known for his impressive displays at the oche, Littler is certainly no stranger to the world of live streaming.

After forming a close friendship with popular streamer AngryGinge – who has regularly been seen cheering Littler on – the darts star has dabbled in streaming.

In October, fans claimed Littler had accidentally revealed he had a new girlfriend while on a stream with AngryGinge.

Littler was streaming a video game boxing match when an unidentified female voice spoke down his microphone.

‘I’m gonna try and get some sleep because I’m so tired,’ said a female voice down Littler’s microphone – and instantly Burtwistle pounced.

‘Who the f*** is that? Who’s that Luke? Who’s that Luke? He’s had a rotter there! Luke’s had a rotter,’ the streamer jibed as others broke out laughing.

Littler’s initial response was a simple two-word burst which revealed his emotions: ‘F***’s sake.’

Shortly after his World Championship win, Littler was seen celebrating his 18th birthday in a low-key manner – live streaming while playing FIFA.

Littler said he was planning to ‘do something at home’ to celebrate turning 18 before his ‘crazy’ darts schedule reignites.

His father was also seen picking up a chippy for dinner at home with the family.

Fans then posted videos of their hero playing the football game online, with floods of well-wishers commenting to say happy birthday.

One posted: ‘Celebrating Luke Littler’s birthday: the world champion of darts is 18-years-old today, doing FIFA on TikTok .’

Littler said earlier: ‘I haven’t got anything planned really because there is a lot of darts around this time.

‘I will probably just do something at home before the crazy schedule starts. But I gave myself the best early birthday present by winning the Worlds’.

Littler has earned over £1.6million in prize money from his achievements at the oche – a figure that has been dwarfed by his income from sponsorship deals with high-profile brands.

He has almost single-handedly dragged darts into the mainstream since he burst on to the scene at the 2024 World Championship, transcending the sport and becoming a global name.

Littler was named second in the BBC Sports Personality of the Year, presented a Brit Award, appeared on the front of Forbes magazine and was a guest on the Jonathan Ross Show.
