Luis Suarez signs new contract with Inter Miami just a day after the club hired Javier Mascherano
Luis Suarez is keeping his talents in South Beach, as he signed a 1-year extension with Major League Soccer’s Inter Miami on Wednesday.
Suarez staying with the Herons elevates the Barcelona reunion tour of sorts with former teammate Javier Mascherano being officially hired as the team’s head coach on Tuesday.
The Camp Nou extension also includes Lionel Messi, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets, who all applied their craft in Spain together for years.
Suarez came to Inter Miami after playing for clubs in South America for two seasons.
That was proceeded by a long stay with European top-division clubs from 2006 through 2022.
Other than Barcelona, Suarez was a star for Liverpool, Ajax, and Atletico Madrid.
