Logan and Jake Paul’s new HBO reality series is slammed as Max users threaten to cancel subscriptions

HBO Max subscribers have threatened to cancel their accounts following the release of the trailer for Jake Paul and Logan Paul’s upcoming reality show.
The YouTube personalities are set to follow in the footsteps of The Kardashians with their new unscripted and unfiltered series Paul American, which is set for release on March 27.
Featuring archival and never-before-seen footage, the official first look kicks off with Logan, 29, and Jake, 28, posing together in a photo shoot wearing nothing but boxer shorts.
Worried about how it might look, Logan says: ‘This is a little erotic, bro. Like, we’re both in these. At what point do we go from being brothers to lovers?’
But Jake isn’t fazed, and referring to Ryan Murphy’s Netflix series, he quips: ‘Just saying, people loved The Menendez Brothers show.’
The eight-part series will introduce Jake and Logan’s mom Pam and their outspoken dad Greg, who doesn’t take kindly to the idea of ‘cancel culture.’
‘Cancel culture can suck my a** all day long,’ he proclaims in the teaser. ‘Go f*ck yourself.’
It seems as though audiences will also be getting insight into the darker side of Jake and Logan’s relationship, with Logan on the receiving end of some brutal texts from his brother.

Logan announces: ‘Jake texted me, “You’re truly a gaslighting, delusional, ego driven narcissist.”‘
Seconds later Jake is heard yelling down the phone: ‘You don’t even have a single f**king friend, bro.’
Despite the drama, fans have blasted the series before its launch with many expressing upset that HBO for greenlighting it in the first place, while one even went as far as saying they’d ‘rather drink bleach.’
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one wrote: ‘This gotta be a pass.’
‘Home of The Sopranos and The Wire turned to this, RIP,’ added another.
Echoing a similar sentiment, a third said: ‘It’s really sad to watch Warner Bros deteriorate like this… *sighhh but… I think most studios are about to get hit hard.’
‘I’d rather drink bleach than watch this,’ a fourth vented.
‘Nobody asked for this show, it’s just as bad as The Kardashians show,’ added a fifth.
‘How do I cancel Max?’ asked another.

‘For two decades, the Pauls’ lives have been incredibly public yet highly curated through an internet lens.
‘Now, with unparalleled access to the Paul family and their inner circle, Paul American peels back the curtain on the most raw, honest, and intimate moments in the brothers’ over-the-top, high-octane lives.’

The brothers have described their new show as ‘real and honest’ and vowed that it ‘shows the world a side of us they’ve never seen’
Jake and Logan both described their new series as ‘raw’ and ‘unfiltered.’
‘It isn’t just about the headlines or the viral moments — it’s about the journey that got us here,’ they said.
‘For the first time, our fans will get to see the real people who shape our lives: our mom, dad, Jutta, Nina, and everyone else in our inner circle.
‘As athletes, we’ve poured everything into proving ourselves in the ring and breaking barriers in sports, entertainment, and beyond.
‘But at the core of it all is family and the relationships that keep us grounded. This series dives into the moments that define us and the bonds that make us unstoppable.
‘The good, the bad, and the ugly. It’s real and honest, showing the world a side of us they’ve never seen, and we couldn’t be more excited to share this story with our fans.’
