“Local Development” is examining cooperation with Chinese companies to develop slaughterhouses, waste and sanitation
Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development, and Eng. Abdel Muttalib Emara, Governor of Luxor, held a meeting today with a number of leading Chinese companies in the fields of slaughterhouses, resulting waste, and wastewater treatment. A number of technical presentations from these companies were heard. This comes on the sidelines of the current visit to the Chinese province of Sichuan.
The meetings began with a meeting with the leaders of a company specialized in the field of treating slaughterhouse waste Which was founded in 2009, and has more than 1,000 global projects and works to process slaughterhouse waste and convert it into feed and oils.
Dr. Manal Awad and Engineer Abdel-Muttalib Amara also met with officials of one of the companies specialized in designing and managing advanced slaughterhouse systems for livestock and poultry in accordance with Islamic law and international health standards, as it was founded in 2000 and constitutes 70% of the local market and has 130 patents in this field.
The Minister of Local Development and the Governor of Luxor also held a meeting with a company specialized in treating wastewater and rivers It was established in 2001 with the aim of addressing the challenges of water pollution, sewage, and water scarcity through advanced water filtration technology to recycle it for use in drinking water, agriculture, urban areas, and cities. The company represents 70% of the local market and has returned about 7 billion cubic tons of water to Chinese cities. Recycled.
For her part, the Minister of Local Development presented during the meetings a number of existing investment opportunities On the land of the governorates in the areas of work of these companies to discuss the possibility of cooperation in them and push for more joint investments in light of the state’s direction to strengthen the mechanisms of localization of industry and technology transfer, through cooperation with the private sector and foreign direct investment.
Dr. Manal Awad also praised the efforts made by Chinese companies operating in the Egyptian market in a number of economic sectors and participating in the development process and the infrastructure sector in Egypt, noting that there are great investment opportunities for foreign investors that can benefit greatly from them.
The Minister of Local Development stressed the government’s keenness for Chinese companies to benefit from the development witnessed by the Egyptian state and to enhance their investments for the benefit of both countries.
