The One Direction bandmate tragically passed at the age of 31 while on vacation in Buenos Aires, Argentina after falling from his hotel room’s balcony.

According to reports, an autopsy revealed that drugs were found in his system. It is believed that a hotel employee might be indicted for supplying the illegal substances.

Liam‘s father Geoff Payne has arrived in the country and is reportedly working with the local police in the investigation.

TMZ noted that police conducted a raid of the CasaSur Palermo Hotel, which is where Liam was staying.

It went down on Wednesday night (October 23) and involved the seizure of records. The hunt is seemingly to determine who obtained the drugs that Liam consumed.

The outlet reported that the police “seized documentation, film records and videos of the hotel’s underground area.”
