The Ministry of Endowments launched 10 advocacy convoys for female preachers in the Endowment Directorates: “Cairo – Giza – Eastern – Western – Assiut – Damietta – Beheira – Menoufia – Dakahlia – Minya, today, Friday, corresponding to December 20, 2024 AD, entitled: “The phenomenon of dropping out of education…its causes and ways to address it.”
The female preachers were received with a warm welcome and great interest in their lessons. This comes within the framework of the Endowments’ interest in the role of women and their involvement in advocacy activities, within the Ministry’s advocacy, scientific and educational activity.
The female preachers participating in the convoys confirmed that students dropping out of education is a major problem, and indeed It is one of the most dangerous scourges facing the educational process and the future of generations in societies. Its impact is not limited to the student only, but extends beyond that to all aspects of society. They pointed out that its causes are many and complex. Overlapping, they interact with each other to put pressure on the student. It pushes him to drop out and follow the path of ignorance and illiteracy, including educational, social, personal, and economic reasons, and some psychological factors with which the student finds difficulty in acquiring information, such as weak concentration and weak memory. They stressed the need to discover and address it, and focused on explaining solutions to this phenomenon, including: reformulating schools so that education has meaning, and schools become a means sought out with desire, not fear, and a means in which the student finds what benefits him, all in conjunction with the family playing its role towards its children.
