Kylian Mbappe comes face-to-face with his incredible wax statue ahead of its Madame Tussauds London debut next week

Kylian Mbappe often makes defenders look frozen in time but now the tables have turned.
That’s because the France and Real Madrid star has a new brother who stands stock-still – an uncannily realistic wax statue.
Mbappe’s new doppelganger was unveiled in Madrid and will travel to Madame Tussauds next week.
The forward had input with the Madame Tussauds team in London over a months-long process and was delighted with the results.
‘Oh, wow. The new jersey, even the new boots. That’s me. I love it, amazing,’ he said in perfect English.
‘Oh my God, you’ve got everything, guys. It’s really, really fun, yeah.
Kylian Mbappe was happy with his wax figure, which will go to Madame Tussauds in London

The Real Madrid and France star could scarcely believe that his likeness was real

He reacted with shock and called it a ‘big honour’ to be remembered in such a way
‘It’s a big honour. I want to say thanks to all the people who worked on it as part of the project because it’s a big achievement for me, a big honour to be part of the Madame Tussauds family.
‘I’m really happy, even more after seeing the results. It’s amazing, I’m really proud to be here to see this. It’s a big day for me.
‘I love to visit the city, go to the restaurants, to see a little bit of the culture of the country.
‘When you are a football player, you travel a lot and you love to see new cultures, new people, New lifestyles. It’s always a pleasure to travel and London is one of the best cities in the world.
‘It’s a perfect job and I’m really happy with the results.’
Mbappe’s eyes lit up as soon as he saw the figure and the 26-year-old couldn’t help but trace his finger along its face just to make sure it was real.
The Mbappe family is growing because, believe it or not, this isn’t his first wax figure.
Last year he met another version of himself at a pop-up event in Paris, in a blue France kit rather than the white.
According to L’Equipe, it took four hours of facial and physical analysis of the professional footballer to capture his features, with Mbappe subsequently stating: ‘It’s 100 per cent me!’
