Seoul, Aug. 1 (WAM) — South Korea’s exports rose 13.9 percent year-on-year in July to $57.4 billion, Yonhap News Agency reported, citing official data released Thursday by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy in Korea.
South Korea’s exports continued to grow on-year for the 10th straight month in July, on the back of strong performance from semiconductors, data showed.
Imports rose 10.5 percent on-year to $53.8 billion, resulting in a trade surplus of $3.62 billion, the data showed. Korea has now posted a trade surplus for 14 straight months. The combined trade surplus for the January-July period came to $26.7 billion, the highest since 2018.
