Kmart Australia shoppers go wild over new $19 camping gadget: ‘I need this’

A small yet handy gadget from Kmart Australia has caught the attention of campers and motorhome owners for it’s ‘genius’ design and cheap pricetag. 

The $19 Stove Top Jaffle Maker has swiftly become an instant hit among shoppers as it can be used to make toasted sandwiches, toast and waffles. 

Described by customers as ‘brilliant’ and ‘excellent’ quality for a low price, the affordable product is designed with a non-stick coating and is suitable for stovetop use. 

The Jaffle Maker has raving reviews on the Kmart website with an average star rating of 4.7 and it’s so popular it’s already sold out at selected store locations. 

‘Just perfect for toasted sandwiches when camping and so easy,’ one happy customer wrote. 

‘I love it. It’s better than the electric sandwich makers. I just put on the stove and presto,’ another wrote. 

‘What a bargain, works perfectly for over the top of the portable BBQ stoves, and it’s deep too so plenty of filling for those yummy toasties,’ a third added. 

The popular Kmart buy is by far the cheapest on the market as alternative Jaffle Makers range from $39.99 to $139.

Last year a $1.75 can strainer became an instant hit among shoppers. 

The kitchen essential is slid onto the top of any can to drain liquid with ease while ensuring no food falls into the sink. 

Melbourne shopper Chantelle Barresi boasted about the buy on TikTok and said it’s a necessity in every kitchen. She also raved about a $5 cloth holder and $5 silicone air fryer tray. 

‘You need these Kmart gadgets in your life,’ Chantelle captioned the clip.

Shoppers dubbed the buy as a ‘brilliant invention’ and the video was liked more than 23,000 times.

‘The can strainer is genius,’ one wrote. ‘Ohhh Kmart, what will you think of next?’

Another said: ‘Definitely the can strainer for me, takes up so much less space than a colander on my bench full of dishes waiting to be washed.’ 

‘Omg didn’t know they stocked this stuff.. off shopping I go,’ one more added.
