KFC Australia announces the return of its ‘most popular burger ever’ after removing it from the menu: ‘Best news of 2024’
KFC Australia have announced the return of its popular Tower Burger – and released two more items in the super-sized range.
The Tower Burger, which briefly returned to stores in 2023 after a two-year hiatus, is the most popular burger on the menu and features one crispy fillet, tangy tomato sauce, a classic cheese slice, mayo, fresh lettuce and a hash brown.
Sally Spriggs, the Group Marketing Director of KFC Australia, confirmed fans are constantly asking them to bring back the burger and have demanded a ‘supersized option’.
This led the popular fast-food retailer to come up with its tallest tower ever: the Tower Stacker.
The huge burger features two original chicken tenders as well as its trademark hash brown in the centre.
They also released a ‘lighter’ option, the Tower Twister, which features chicken strips and a hash brown.
Available from Tuesday 29 October to Monday 25 November, the Tower Burger and brand-new Tower Stacker and Tower Twister can be purchased from participating KFC restaurants across the country.
However, according to the store’s post, those in Wollongong are the only ones who will miss out on the launch this time.

‘The king is back,’ commented one fan.
‘About time but it needs to be back on the regular menu,’ said another.
But some were less-than-impressed by the old Tower Burger.
‘Is it actually a tower though? The last one I had was more like a bungalow,’ one man said.
‘This is mid,’ said another.
People took the opportunity to request their other favourites on the post.
Many demanded BLT Twisters, the Works burger and even giant snack packs.
However it was Krushers that were the most requested item – the chain’s popular frozen dessert drinks.
‘Why can you listen to the people? We want Krushers back,’ one person exclaimed.
This was echoed by six others who shared similar comments.
‘Krushers or nothing,’ another said.
