Kate Moss’s Zara collection encapsulates some of her most show stopping looks – from festival chic to evening glamour
As famous for her personal style as she is for her professional shoots, Kate Moss is now giving fans the chance to play copycat with a new Zara collaboration that draws on her own fashion archive.
The supermodel, who this year celebrated her 50th birthday, has joined forces with the leading High Street store for what is her first clothing collection since her 2014 partnership with Topshop.
Available globally from November 30, Kate’s ‘party capsule’ features versions of some of her most distinctive looks from over the past few decades, including the gold Lurex minidress that she was photographed in at Glastonbury 2005.
While Kate insisted she’s ‘not a designer’ in a recent interview with Vogue, she explained how the Zara capsule was inspired by pieces she picked out of her own archive.
She added: ‘I’m styling up a storm, I should be working in the shop!’
Created by Kate, together with Marta Ortega Pérez, the chair of Inditex (parent company of Zara), and the supermodel’s long-term collaborator Katy England, the collection is perfect for party-goers looking to channel Kate’s trademark understated glamour.
Here, we present the Zara collection while glancing back at the looks that may well have inspired the new outfits.

The collection includes a number of outfits that are reminiscent of looks worn by the supermodel, with the glittering Glastonbury minidress taking centre stage.
Taking fans back to the summer of 2005 when she was coupled up with The Libertines frontman Pete Doherty, Kate is nevertheless channelling glam rather than grunge in the Zara campaign.
She is photographed lounging on a vintage, burnt orange chair in the glitzy, long-sleeved mini, which features a low-slung belt and a thigh-split.
Perfect for a festive party, fans eager to emulate one of Kate’s most striking looks should act fast when stock hits Zara stores on Saturday.
SOPHISTICATED SILK
Kate models a silky outfit made up of a blouse and skirt, which is reminiscent of a look she wore to a gala dinner in 2007
Kate wore a beautiful, champagne-coloured gown to the Victoria and Albert Museum’s golden age of couture gala in 2007
In September 2007, Kate, along with a host of other celebrities, designers and models, was invited to London’s Victoria and Albert Museum’s golden age of couture gala.
Hosted by then-editor-in-chief of British Vogue, Alexandra Shulman, and fashion designers John Galliano and Daphne Guinness, the glamourous occasion demanded an unforgettable outfit.
And, dressed in a beautiful, champagne-coloured silk gown, Kate didn’t disappoint.
Kate and her collaborators seemingly took inspiration from her elegant ensemble and have included a version of the V&A outfit in the party capsule.
But while Kate wore a gown to the gala, the look she’s modelling in the Zara campaign is made up of two pieces.
The versatile outfit includes a three-quarter sleeved cream blouse and a matching maxi skirt, both made out of the same silky material.
And, by styling the outfit with leopard print flats rather than sparkly heels, Kate is giving a clear signal that it needn’t be saved for special occasions.
FABULOUS FLORALS

Kate’s new collection may be launching on the cusp of winter but that didn’t mean the designers were going to flout florals.
The supermodel is a fan of flowery prints and they have a prime position in the new party capsule.
A floor-length floral dress featuring an asymmetric hem and feminine ruffle detailing may well have been inspired by a sheer number printed with multicoloured flowers that the supermodel wore in September 2022.
Kate’s striking dress, which she wore to a dinner to celebrate the launch of her wellness brand Cosmoss, could also have influenced another piece in her Zara collection.
The party capsule includes a silky halterneck top featuring large orange flowers and green foliage.
Adorned with a long scarf for added drama, the top is paired with green velvet trousers making for a fun, sixties-inspired look.
TUXEDO WITH A TWIST
Kate’s modern take on eveningwear is evident in her Zara collection, which features a shiny, silver tuxedo jacket (left) and a dazzling crystal bralette (right)

Kate is an expert at taking a classic look and giving it a modern twist, just as she’s rewritten the rules for eveningwear with the statement suit.
In Paris in February 2019, she was as sexy as she was chic when she stepped out in a pair of cropped trousers, an unbuttoned silk shirt and a velvet tuxedo jacket.
Her collection for Zara channels this feminine take on masculine formalwear, with a shiny, silver tuxedo jacket and a pair of high-waisted black trousers.
The pièce de résistance, however, is the dazzling crystal bralette worn underneath the open jacket.
It’s the perfect party look – and it’s anything but predictable.
MIGHTY MINI

With her supermodel physique, it’s no surprise that Kate dares to bare her legs in tiny miniskirts.
During Milan fashion week in September 2022, Kate looked typically chic in a tiny black minidress paired with a luxurious, leopard print jacket.
Fans of the supermodel’s bold look will be pleased to hear that her Zara collection features a similarly daring mini.
The only difference? The party capsule version is covered with black sequins, making it perfect for the festive season.

WILD FOR LEOPARD PRINT
One of the outfits the supermodel loves to repeat is her trademark leopard print coat thrown over a little black dress – and she’s stuck to the combination for 25 years, so no wonder an example of this features in her collection (pictured)

She was first pictured in a demure version of her go-to outfit at a party at the Mondrian Hotel Los Angeles in in 1999.
By then, she was already a bona fide style icon with campaigns with brands like Levi’s under her belt, but the LBD-and-leopard-print look quickly became her go-to ensemble for nights out.
In September 2006 she stepped out in New York in an eye-wateringly short dress paired with a cropped leopard print coat as actress Winona Ryder showed her around.
And three years later, fresh from her wedding to rocker Jamie Hince, she showcased an oversized blazer style worn over a size-zip black mini and pointed courts.
The world’s most prolific Vogue cover girl turned to her style staple once more in January 2014 when she celebrated her 40th birthday at London’s 34 restaurant, ramping up the glamour with a figure-hugging satin number and patent platform boots.

SENSATIONAL SNAKESKIN PRINTS

It’s not only leopard prints that Kate is a fan of, with the fashion lover proving to look just as good when wearing a snakeskin pattern.

The supermodel took her place on the front row of the Gucci Spring/Summer 2015 show, and taking her cue from the designer, she was sporting a snakeskin coat in a subtle pastel blue.
The animal skin has been appearing in Gucci collections for years and as an icon of the fashion world, Kate certainly doesn’t miss a beat.
LITTLE BLACK DRESS

Kate’s wardrobe isn’t complete without a little black dress, or even a maxi one, like the one she includes in her range for Zara.
The supermodel often sports a black frock in her ensembles before jazzing them up with accessories, like boots, belts, coats and bags.

Kate looked effortlessly stylish as she slipped into a black maxi dress that skimmed over her lithe frame.
She teamed the garment with a pair of black sandals and toted a small laser cut handbag, completing the look with a delicate gold necklace.
MUST-HAVE SCARF

For Kate, it’s likely often all about the accessories when she’s putting together her stylish ensembles.
The supermodel regularly adds an extra touch to an otherwise simple outfit with her marvellous collection of bags, coats and belts.
But the fashionista is also a fan of scarfs – and has on more than one occasion improved an otherwise understated look with a statement scarf.
So it’s no wonder that her party collection features an elegant floral garment that would perfectly complement any simple outfit.
