Kamel Al-Wazir: We are working to operate troubled factories

Lieutenant General Engineer Kamel Al-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Industry, confirmed in a press conference at the Council of Ministers headquarters in the New Administrative Capital that the strategy included a number of elements, including identifying sectors qualified to deepen local manufacturing. The strategy takes 6 years, deepening the industry, establishing factories, attracting foreign and local investments, and increasing capacity. Industrial industries for the purpose of increasing exports and immediately starting to restart operations, assisting stopped and closed factories, and assisting struggling factories.

 

The Minister confirmed that the stopped factories are working to help their owners so that they can return to work again and enter service in the industrial field. And attention to training and qualification of human resources, keeping pace with modern trends in industry, digital transformation systems, and expansion of green industries.

 

The Minister indicated that we have 41 rehabilitation and training centers for workers to benefit the industry, and the Egypt Digital Industrial Platform was launched. To make it easier for investors and for all investors to agree in the spirit of the Industrial Development Authority to offer existing lands with the utmost transparency and clarity to investors, 1,124 plots of land with an area of ​​8.5 million square meters were offered in 14 governorates, and 1,633 investors paid a 10% reservation deposit.
