Kamala Harris recruits Anthony Scaramucci and an ex Mike Pence aide to troll Trump at the debate
Kamala Harris is trolling Donald Trump by bringing two of his former officials with her to the debate in Philadelphia on Tuesday.
Once Trump’s White House communications director, Anthony Scaramucci, and Olivia Troye, a former Homeland Security advisor to then-Vice President Mike Pence, are coming to the debate for the Democratic candidate.
Both will speak out against the former president and advocate for Harris’ election at the site of the first debate between the vice president and Trump before the candidates take stage on Tuesday evening.
At the same time, Democrats are running an advertisement on Fox News throughout debate day that features members of Trump’s first term Cabinet speaking out against him.
The lineup includes Vice President Mike Pence, Secretary of Defense Mark Esper, National Security Advisor John Bolton, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley – all warning against Trump returning for a second term.

In August, Troye spoke up about her plans to vote for Harris despite once serving in Trump’s administration.
‘As someone who served in the Trump White House, I witnessed the destruction & chaos firsthand,’ she said on August 4, just days after Harris entered the race.
‘A second Trump term will bring more turmoil,’ she added. ‘As a lifelong Republican, I may not agree with Kamala Harris on everything, but I trust her to protect our freedoms, uphold the rule of law & provide steady leadership on the world stage. That’s why I’m voting for Kamala Harris.’
Scaramucci and Troye are joining the other surrogates, including California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who are descending on Philadelphia this week for the debate between Trump and Harris.
Republicans are also bringing ‘turncoats’ to Philadelphia, including independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and former Democrat Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, who is now independent and helped Trump prepare for the debate.

Scaramucci says that Harris needs to show up in the debate on Tuesday and entertain Americans, claiming that she can’t risk doing what Hillary Clinton did in 2016 and ‘boring’ voters.
‘The American people don’t want that,’ Scaramucci told Saxo in an interview. ‘They want a verbal sparring match and they want you to outwit him.’
‘I would love to tell you that this is a hiring contest in the United States, but it’s not,’ he continued. ‘It’s a popularity contest. Who’s gonna keep me interested? Who looks like a safe pair of hands?’
‘If she can roll with Trump in a live debate, that means she can be okay with Vladimir Putin. It’s simplistic, but that’s how the American people think.’
