Kade Maloney, son of NRL star James Maloney missing on Central Coast

Former NRL star James Maloney and his wife Jess have issued a plea to help find their missing son Kade after the 14-year-old caught a train after midnight on the Central Coast and disappeared.

NSW Police confirmed they were assisting the family to locate the teenager, who was last seen at 10pm on Saturday in Green Point outside Gosford.

“We are desperately looking for our son Kade,” Jess and James Maloney wrote on Instagram on Sunday. “He purchased a train ticket at Gosford train station this morning [at] 1:51am.”

The parents said they believed he was heading for the Penrith area.

“If you have seen him or heard from him, please get in touch with us. We are desperate to know he’s ok and if he doesn’t want us to know exactly where he is, that’s ok, we just desperately want to know he is safe.”

NSW Police said they were appealing to the public for assistance.

“Police and family hold concerns for his welfare as his disappearance is out of character,” a spokesperson said in a statement.

“He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and dark blue North Queensland Cowboys football shorts and carrying a black bag.”
