Justin Bieber enjoys a smoke with Dave Chappelle in LA amid marriage concerns with wife Hailey

Justin Bieber was spotted taking a puff as he decompressed with Dave Chappelle in West Hollywood in the early morning hours of Saturday.

The 30-year-old pop superstar, who was seen arriving at Barney’s Beanery while looking disheveled earlier on Friday night, was pictured catching up with the controversial 51-year-old comedian outside of the same establishment hours later.

It wasn’t clear what Justin was smoking, but he could be seen exhaling a billowing white cloud in the outdoor seating area of the restaurant and bar, which has long been a popular spot for celebrities looking for a casual escape.

Seemingly missing from the celebrity meet-up was Justin’s wife Hailey Bieber.

Speculation about the couple’s marriage has ramped up in recent months, particularly after a source told DailyMail.com that Justin was a ‘loose cannon’ and exhibiting ‘unacceptable’ behavior.

Justin was dressed in a dark green zip-up hoodie that he paired with billowing, oversize blue jeans and chunky tan suede shoes decorated with a diamond pattern.

He stayed warm on the chilly evening with a green-and-white striped toque that he had oddly rolled up at an angle to resemble the brim of a knit trilby hat.

Justin, who has lately been sporting unkempt facial hair, had recently shaved it down to give him a bushy mustache with some accompanying prickly stubble.

Dave looked similarly casual in a paid jacket as he chatted with Justin.

There wasn’t any hint of levity on Chappelle’s face, and Bieber also looked somber until he exhaled a plume of smoke.

Justin and Dave are known to be friends, and they delighted their fans back in November 2021 during multiple appearances in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The two traveled to the Midwestern metropolis for screenings of the documentary Dave Chappelle: Live in Real Life, which was directed by the acclaimed documentarians Steve Bognar and Julia Reichert. 

During the trip, Justin and Dave shocked fans when they dropped by a local Vietnamese restaurant for lunch. 

Later, Chappelle put on an extended concert featuring a screening of the documentary and a full stand-up session, and he shocked fans when Justin came out for a four-song mini set after he had wrapped his stand-up set. 

They got an extra-special surprise when Justin’s mentor and friend Usher joined him for some extra music.

Justin’s outing later on Friday into Saturday preceded a heated conversation he had with a paparazzo later on Saturday morning as he and his wife Hailey were heading out for breakfast.

The couple’s day out comes after a source close to them told DailyMail.com that Hailey ‘works all the time,’ while Justin ‘chills with friends’ and spends time at home with their baby son.

Fans have expressed concern for thecouple due to their stony-faced public appearances, and Hailey’s famous friends have allegedly urged her to leave the singer due to his ‘unacceptable’ behavior.  

‘Hailey’s been struggling with Justin almost since the start of the marriage,’ an insider told DailyMail.com exclusively. ‘She loves him madly but he’s a loose cannon. Some of her friends have advised her to go it alone and leave him.

‘His behavior is sometimes unacceptable. She’s put up with a lot,’ they added.

The insider said Hailey’s friends were hopeful that Justin’s behavior would change after he became a new father to their baby son Jack, but her close confidants allegedly don’t feel that fatherhood has made a significant impact. 

‘When the baby was born he was there for her and she thought being a father would change him for the better, but it hasn’t stuck,’ the source said.

Fans were troubled after noticing in January that Justin no longer followed his father-in-law Stephen Baldwin on Instagram.

They were even more shocked when he appeared to unfollow his own wife on social media, but Justin quickly claimed that his account had been hacked.

‘Someone went on my account and unfollowed my wife,’ he claimed in an Instagram Stories post. ‘S*** getting suss out here.’

Concerns about Justin’s wellbeing escalated last year, as his relationship with his former mentor Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs came under scrutiny after the rap mogul was sued by numerous women for sexual harassment, before he was hit with federal sex trafficking and racketeering charges.

Diddy has vehemently denied all of the allegations and charges against him. 

Last month, Justin and Hailey raised eyebrows when they were both seen dining at the popular spot Bar Pitti — but not together.

Hailey dined there in the late afternoon and was seen leaving solo around 4:30 p.m., and Justin arrived around half an hour later with a group of some friends.

He left the restaurant on his own around 6:40 p.m. 

Late in January, sources close to the couple explained Justin’s apparent discomfort during his recent public outings, both with and without his wife, to DailyMail.com.

According to the insiders, the hitmaker has become ‘borderline reclusive’ after struggling with the idea of spending time in large crowds or with groups of strangers.

They added that the ‘deep fear’ he has allegedly developed was partly the reason that he has gone so long without any touring.
