Jordyn Woods sparks concerns with social media post as Karl-Anthony Towns is absent for ‘personal reasons’

Karl-Anthony Towns’ girlfriend Jordyn Woods shared a troublesome message Tuesday with the New York Knicks star dealing with off-court issues.

The NBA star missed the Knicks’ 114-102 loss to the Golden State Warriors Tuesday with coach Tom Thibodeau revealing the seven-foot center was out of action due to personal reasons.

Amid the 29-year-old’s absence, his influencer girlfriend shared a post that sparked concerns among fans on social media.

‘F*** cancer,’ Woods wrote on X Tuesday night with no further context.

The 27-year-old did not give any indication that the post was linked to Towns’ absence from the court but her message did receive an influx of support from the Knicks’ fanbase.

Actor Ben Stiller was among the New York faithful to share their consolations. ‘Agree,’ the die-hard Knicks fan responded, adding several blue and orange heart emojis.

The model, who used to be close friends with Kylie Jenner, lost her father to cancer in 2017.

Tuesday’s game was the sixth game Towns has missed this season with the Knicks going 3-3 without him.

Thibodeau declined to provide a timeline for Towns’ return with the Knicks set to embark on their five-game West Coast trip, beginning against the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.

‘I can’t answer that,’ the coach said before the Knicks’ loss at Madison Square Garden. ‘I can’t, because I just don’t know, so when he’s ready to come back, obviously we want him back. But he needs some time right now.’

Towns, who was traded to the Knicks from the Minnesota Timberwolves ahead of the 2024-25 campaign, is averaging 24.5 points and 13.4 rebounds.

In a boost for the Knicks, Mitchell Robinson is slowly starting to return to the lineup after easing back to the court from an ankle injury suffered in May.

Robinson finished with seven points and five rebounds in 15 minutes during Tuesday’s defeat to the Warriors.
