Following the bombshell news that JoJo Siwa “dumped” Australian influencer Kath Ebbs at the Celebrity Big Brother UK after party, the Dance Moms star has now clarified WTF went down while appearing on a British morning show with Chris Hughes, who she is rumoured to now be dating.
“I’ll be honest, that was not a plan,” Siwa, 18, said of their split during an April 28 (US time) appearance on ITV’s This Morning alongside Hughes, 32. “That was not an intention, that was not supposed to happen like that.”
“Initially, I was told that the wrap party was something they didn’t want to attend and then about an hour into the wrap party they decided they wanted to. And so I was genuinely just going to have a conversation before and then it just led to another.”
JoJo added that during their chat, Kath, 27, asked her if she was happy in the relationship, which prompted JoJo to admit she wasn’t. “One thing led to another,” she said, “and that conversation did take place there.”

The “Karma” singer went on to discuss her experience being isolated from the world while on Celebrity Big Brother UK.
“I was now in my own thoughts away from everyone that I know, away from outside opinions, away from everything,” she explained. “And I sat with myself and from that point on, I really realised things that I was okay with in my life that I should never have been okay with in the first place.”
On whether she was referring to her relationship with Kath, JoJo said: “That is one of them, but so many things.”
She admitted that she did not want to air those realisations in public but felt the need to as a result of how things played out.
“I knew as soon as I got out I wanted to fix things in my life and make the changes that I needed to make,” JoJo said. “You have this experience that’s so exhilarated. It’s 20 days but it feels like it’s four and a half years. And the first thing you want to do when you get out is just exactly what you need to do in your life to make it as good as you can.”
Elsewhere, the pair addressed their relationship, clarifying that while they are “soul mate[s]”, it’s purely “platonic”.
“It’s hard to explain,” Chris said. “It’s just a really strong bond between two people, which is just a strong friendship. And I think you can have like a soulmate friendship. Having someone in there to go through an experience like that and have someone there every day when you’re emotional when you’re down when you’re happy — that was beautiful.”
He said meeting JoJo was “probably my favourite thing I got from the whole show”.
When asked about their future, JoJo said: “I don’t know any future of anything. But I’m really grateful for our dynamic that we have and our bond that we have. And whatever life does, life will do.”

Around the time of the interview, the pair were also spotted at a golf and tennis club in the UK.
“JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes were at my golf club earlier lol,” an X user captioned the pic.
